Pros: - Quality and aesthetics of the windows are good - Sales process was efficient and responsive Cons: - Terrible installation and messy process - The sliding door requires a lot of force to close properly (my 7yr cannot close it) - Panes says it works perfectly; during the installation process the two installers slammed the door for about 15mins straight as they knew it didn't fit properly - Exterior caulking was terrible (see photos), they did come to fix some of it but left one window unfixed - Lots of drywall damage (see photos - they just added mud and left it for us to repair/finish, they only owned up to it when I asked them what happened) - The installers intimidated my wife when she attempted to point out the installation flaws but they kept telling her it was 'fine' - We didn't notice this at first, but we found air leaks in the caulking once we started having cold nights - The installers left caulking and a razor blade on our deck (our 7yr old found it) - Never got a call back from the office on this matter, they would just schedule another installer to visit and say everything is perfect What we struggled the most with, was the fact that they didn't care to respond or attempt to fix it. Once we placed our order, the customer service was non-existent.
