we were doing a 2nd storey addition and gutting the main floor as well. We chose to go with modular b/c of the ability to build off site and then put frame up relatively quickly. Unfortunately, due to a electrical hydro wire they were not able to utizlize the crane and thus had to build on site. We orginally were a little put off with this when we heard but they stressed they would have old roof off and new addition and roof up and shingled w/n about a week, which they did. The guys who worked on the exterior framing worked extremely hard to get the job done quickly but properly. They always had a lot of guys working and worked long hours. We also had a timeline with a new baby arriving soon, so were on a bit of a deadline with the inside work. They did a great job inside as well and finished before our son was born. The only real glitch in the whole project was when a project manager went on holidays. His replacement never came to the site to see what needed to be done but rather only communicated via email which led to quite a few misunderstandings, some improper billing and some bad feelings. This was all corrected however in the end. Overall, with the scope of the job, it was very well done. We are constantly getting compliments from people in the neighborhood on the look of the house.
