Tom came by on a Sunday afternoon to look after an emergency issue with my front door. Despite being based in the east end of the city, he made the drive down, arrived on time, and proceeded to go above and beyond (addressing my immediate problem, and helping me with another). Tom, apologies for the late review (I had difficulty finding your listing again on homestars), but better late than never. You did an excellent job, and I would recommend you unreservedly.

Shane was extremely professional and responsive from when we first met him. He: - Came over to see the place, and gave helpful suggestions on how we could design it - Gave a competitive quote. Changes were clearly discussed and agreed upon - Developed a great design, taking into account our unique needs (size of space, utility, etc) - Reacted immediately to a delay, bringing in extra people and working additional hours to ensure that the work was done on a timely basis - Did a great job At first blush Shane's quote seemed more expensive than others. However, upon closer inspection, we discovered that he'd provided transparency into several components of cost (design, handles, lighting, etc) which others had not. (For example, his design fee is set off against the cost of the completed project). Once these were taken into account, his quote was very competitive. We were very pleased with Shane's work, and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a talented, detail oriented, hard working contractor to do a custom project.
