We contacted Splash pools in 2012 after we put in an offer on a home near greely/osgoode. We wanted to put an inground pool in and as part of the offer, we included a condition to have the area inspected by a pool installer to ensure that a pool could in fact be installed. We called splash because we had purchased a hot tub from them several years before, and we were always happy with the sales, the product, and the after sales service. Geoff Lamesse came by at the designated time, and confirmed that was not an issue. he commented that the area was low, and he suspected that the area may have some issues regarding a high water table. This was fine for installation, but the costs would be higher, due to the fact they had to build greater support to ensure it did not impact the pool later on. Shortly after, we had our well inspected by well contractor, and he was dead on with his assessment. We initially were going to wait for the spring to install, but he suggested it only be done in late fall, this year or next - due to the water table being lowest at those times of years. It would save us money on construction due to the fact that they would not have to bring in additional equipment, and require constantly dealing with water coming in a hole they dig for the pool. 2 weeks after we closed on the house, pool construction began. Geoff was there almost daily, and available via phone when questions came up. He was very detailed in the plan, and we were able to choose from a variety of different liner and pool options, as well as finishing landscaping. The pool was installed within a 2.5 week timeframe, and we were using it by early November before we closed it for the season (heater running full blast). The following spring, we had some settling issues with the interlock around the pool, but they sent someone over right away to address. The same thing happened again the following season (2014) and again, they sent someone over to address - no charge. The settling issues are just taking longer due to the fact that is at the downslope of a hill, where water runs off the lawn, and turbulent sandy soil. That said, they've been very good about repairing it, even though technically, it is past the warranty period on the interlock portion. They said this sometimes happens with houses in my area, due to the sandy soil in this particular area does take a while to settle after it has been disturb. It should level off by next year.

When my wife and I first contacted them in February about several projects we were looking to do early spring, I could tell right away that Shawn Pederson and OttawaTurf were different from the many contractors we had dealt with in previous years. The no-pressure approach to sales and the advice they offered right from the beginning made us feel like it was more of a partnership, rather than us hiring out a job to be performed by a contractor. Initially, we had planned to dress up our driveway culverts, install a few walkways around the pool area, driveway paving and do something to improve our lawn which unfortunately was not well maintained when we bought our house more than a year ago. We were looking to improve that situation, but we were not sure that re-sodding was the right approach, and within our budget. Shawn shared with us a variety of ideas, and educated us on the appropriate timing for each of the jobs planned. He worked with us to come up with a plan that would work within our budget, and made recommendations on things we had not even thought of as an option. The irrigation is something we thought was well outside of our budget, but he came up with a plan that worked, and it addressed our lawn situation for the long term, rather than re-sodding. This is an example of where I felt they were different. Any other contractor would have pushed the expensive option on us, but he quite frankly told us re-sodding was unnecessary for our situation. They could grow grass on a rubber boot he said – and they did! Shawn and your team were also very professional throughout the project. Courteous of our home and our family, they were constantly ensuring we knew what was happening at each stage of the project. Even when my wife and I were indecisive on some things, or changed our minds later about something we agreed on, they were patient and accommodating – I can tell they really wanted to make sure we were happy. They took changes in stride and were always cheerful – and always available via the phone when I wanted to pick their brain on a few ideas. Ottawa Turf simply puts the customer first. All of this, and the job came in on time, and on budget – which was also incredibly generous, considering the number of changes we made mid-job. No extra charges for this and that, just a straightforward invoice that covered all the details we discussed. You even managed to shave costs in a few areas that came in under what you expected, and passed those saving right on to us. I don’t know any company that would do that. Honesty, and integrity of service are words I now come to associate with Ottawa Turf. In summary, we are extremely pleased with the service, and the results. We know that we will enjoy the results for years to come, and will call on them again when we need help.

I had William from dr Clean Air come to the house for duct cleaning of my high ranch home near Greely. From the moment he and his crew entered my home, they were very professional and ensured that the ducts were cleaned thoroughly with no mess to clean up after they left. The house was 6 years old, and when we moved in a little over a year ago, we realized that a duct cleaning had never been done after construction. It was very messy, and the house generated alot of dust. The basement of the house was finished, and more difficult to clean for them because they could not easily access key areas they needed. however, they were able to create an access hole and completely clean the entire house, including the ducts behind the walls. I also had them install a humidifier for the home. William went over carefully the features of the new model, and was able to do an excellent installation that we were quite happy with. He even suggested that the reason the basement was a little stuffy was because it lacked insufficient cold air returns. He added a new cold air return, and the basement has not been stuffy since. The before, during and aftercare was excellent. Dr Clean Air is a very professional company with reasonable rates, and does a complete job top to bottom. I would recommend this company to anyone.
