A representative visited my house and I got a quote for getting my crawlspace encapsulated including insulation. I paid a 40% deposit in June. In August when they came to do the work, they said it can't be done as agreed upon in the contract and if I still wanted the work done I'd have to remove all of my floors which I said can't be done. In September I asked for my deposit back several times on emails and calls. The only responses I received were that the refund is coming or they need to talk to the boss. I'm still waiting for my deposit and have had to resort to contacting the Better Business Bureau and Ontario Consumer Protection. I guess the next step will be to hire a collection agency. I would have hired them to do some other foundation work I need done, but I can't trust them as a business any more.
