New heat pump to support a 2500 square-foot condo Heating and air conditioning review in old Toronto Our two year old condos heat pump stopped working in May 2024. Upon contacting the contractor we purchased it from we were told that he no longer works in downtown Toronto. We then hired an additional contractor who determined we needed a new heat pump. There is a heat pump in stock locally and I have secured it for you, should you wish to proceed. We were then given the choice of two dates for installation, the following week. Two technicians arrived exactly on time and within four hours had a new heat pump installed and working beautifully. Additionally, we never felt pressured to buy a new heat pump rather than repair the old one. Michael explained the pros and cons of each and left the decision to us.
