Excellent basement renovation work Gracia Makeovers Inc. !! Some background. We needed to hire a contractor to finish our basement after we recently waterproofed it (We were flooded in July). Carpets were removed. Walls were ripped up 4' around the basement perimeter. After careful review of several competing contractors in September to finish the basement, we decided to go with this company Job entailed: - install luxury vinyl flooring in basement family room, basement office, basement bathroom (before the flood we had carpeting which the flood destroyed) - same luxury vinyl on the stairs - complete the wall reframing and drywall + repaint - upgrade the fireplace aesthetics - upgrade the bar and bar lighting aesthetics (the old bar had a vintage pub feel but we wanted something more modern) - dedicated 20amp circuits for our two sump pumps. The house had it's challenges this company persevered. The house always had uneven flooring and walls which were both a big concern for me (how would the flooring and drywall mudding look?). They handled it like pros however and everything looks and feels absolutely perfect. After ripping the basement apart three times since 2019 due to previous floods, we wanted this last project to be as turn-key as possible. Daniel and Elijah were a huge help there, assisting even in what finished materials and colors to select. I trusted their instinct and it paid off. The wall color, flooring, bar, and fireplace are all perfect! Total transparency during the whole process (we originally didn't scope in things like painting the stairway and upgrading the bar but we fit those in and adjusted the budget accordingly). The job was expecting to take 10-15 days to complete but they had it done in FIVE. Considering we haven't had our basement home office since July, this is huge. Despite them getting the job done way earlier than scheduled, nothing was rushed nor any shortcuts were taken. They're insured and and have skilled tradesmen on their crew for any kind of work needed. It was a pleasure having this company see this project through and we can now put the flood behind us! Great work! We'll definately hire these guys again

We hired Marcos this month to renovate our unfinished basement bathroom + basement office, build an enclosure for our exposed basement electrical panel, and install a replacement laundry sink. His quote was very competitive and despite several surprises revealed from the previous homeowners work (shoddy workmanship), Marcos completed the job on time and on budget. One week later we finally had the basement office and bathroom we wanted! We adore the new bathroom. Plumbing/flooring/framing/drywall/painting were all completed by Marcos and his crew to excellent standards. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Marcos at A.M.A Remodel again for future projects.
