Multiple deficiencies in the build; windows framed at different heights in same room, insulation insufficient, electrical fixtures incorrectly wired, smoke detectors not working, inspections not requested from the municipality, flooring very badly installed, invoice back up not provided, zero warranty. These issues have been corrected by other suppliers as this contractor is non-responsive. Run from this person. His company is a two man show. Himself and his son. He started as an electrician but even the electrical had errors. His son is the only other employee though the only thing his son did was deliver material and collect garbage. Everything else is subcontracted but the contractor never checks their work and is rarely on site. Their business address appears to be an empty field (google earth). He did provide 3 references and they were all good. In fact they offered to have me see the work. In hindsight these were either friends and family (biased references) or people who were served before his performance went south. We have done many many renovations. There have been occasional frustrations with work with other contractors but this one makes us feel like we should submit it to Holmes on Homes. It was a debacle.

We used this company on the recommendation of friends who have known the owner for many years (20+). The price was acceptable, but their performance was less than professional. The move was from one unit of a duplex to the other so the movers had to go outside and walk with the furniture from one door to the next. It was a winter move, there was snow on the ground, but the path was clear. There was little to no preparation on the part of the movers. They did not verify their access to the new house so when some larger furniture arrived the front door had to be removed. This could be seen as an understandable surprise. If the furniture fit through the door of one unit, it should fit through the door of the other. However this duplex is 100 years old and not "cookie-cutter". So they could not fit through the front door with my very expensive custom couch. So they removed the legs. A good idea, but it still didn't fit. It was clear the door had to come off. This is not a big deal and quite common. What was particularly distressful to me was they then just put my couch, now without its legs, down on the snowy, muddy front step while they managed the door. When I asked them not to do that, suggested that they return it to the other house while they manipulated the door, one of the men absolutely refused, When I became more insistent that he at least pick up the couch. He had put his end down to have a cigarette. He again refused and then quit. After a 3 hour delay the move continued and was completed that day. I own both houses and no one was moving in so it didn't really cause a crisis, but the consequence of the behavior and attitude of the men became clear in the next days as I unpacked. A number of items, beyond just the couch were damaged. I spent 10 months trying to get them to come and do an insurance estimate. I had paid for insurance. This should not have been an issue. IN the end I was never even able to file a claim. I wonder if they even have an insurance policy in place. This company does not perform its work in a professional manner and when there are consequences to that they will not address them in any substantive way. I have months of emails back and forth, all of which came to nothing. Avoid this company at all costs. Be warned, they will break your stuff and then will not even allow you to file a claim. Teresa and Robert own the company and they seem to be on vacation constantly or at least that is the message when you try to reach them. The poor girl on the desk who can do nothing is Robert's daughter. How terrible to leave anyone in the position of fielding the calls from angry customers, but she has to keep putting them off. They leave the dirty work to his child.
