Paul and his team at Pink Flamingo recently worked on both the front and back yard of my home. In a nutshell, my wife and I found Paul and his team to be creative, courteous, meticulous, and extremely tidy professionals. Their work shows clear skill, experience, and care. We saw some great work that Pink Flamingo had done on our street and we retained them to construct planters out front and to tame the overgrown vines and weeds in the back. Paul was active and engaged in the planning process. He went beyond merely understanding what we were trying to do and was able to make thoughtful suggestions that improved on the plan. When it came time to begin, Paul and his team got right to work. They never wasted a moment. I could barely persuade them to take water breaks. Within a span of three days they completely transformed both the front and back yard. To illustrate how meticulous they were, every day they left the job site looking spotless, which exemplifies their attention to detail. Paul and his team at Pink Flamingo are true craftsmen and gave great value. My wife and I are deeply grateful to them for their terrific work, and would recommend them to anyone.

Joyce and her team at Star Moon Roofing provided an incredibly quick and thorough response when I solicited help for a bit of broken flashing. She was able to get her team out to me within two days and custom-cut a new piece of flashing rather than attempting to put back the old piece. The team was quick, efficient, and polite. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with. Strongly recommend Star Moon Roofing!

TTT was fantastic to work with. Three main points: (1) The team (from office to field personnel) were exceedingly professional and polite. A real pleasure to work with. (2) Substantively, the field team was incredibly efficient and thorough. I was impressed as well that they took the time to go around back and look at the downspouts even on the garage! (3) I was also pleased with the communication overall. From getting the initial estimate to me through to booking the appointment was a real breeze, and also surprisingly quick. I thought I would be waiting for a month or more but the time between making first contact to completion of the service was less than two weeks. Overall I would definitely recommend TTT (and will be giving them a call for the next cleaning!).

I was having issues with my hot water intermittently shutting off. It turned out that the mixing valve from my hot water tank needed to be replaced. I reached out to Valentin at Strong Plumbing for help because I had worked with him before. As I remembered, Valentin was a consummate professional and a pleasure to work with. He replaced the valve quickly with a high-quality part, and also went above and beyond to point out a couple of other issues that may bear checking with my hot water tank. Additionally, he identified potential issues that may arise and gave me a one-year warranty on the repair. I would strongly recommend Valentin and Strong Plumbing to anyone who needs help with their plumbing needs.

I needed some help changing out four light fixtures. Dwayne from FM Electrical responded to my request. He was a good communicator and scheduled me promptly. He was very skillful, professional, and also easygoing and personable. Although this was a very small job, he nevertheless treated me like a valued customer and addressed my job with a great deal of professionalism and skill. I will be using FM Electrical for any future electrical needs I have and would recommend them to anyone. Great job, Dwayne!

I made a request for help with a gas leak by my furnace. This issue was doubly problematic because it occurred during a very cold day in the middle of the COVID crisis. Dave responded incredibly quickly and diagnosed the problem right away. Brendan from Dave's team arrived the next day and fixed the problem. Both of them were warm, kind, incredibly competent, and professional. They also went above and beyond to ensure that Brendan was equipped with proper PPE in light of the COVID-19 crisis, and Brendan was careful to maintain appropriate distancing. In short - you cannot go wrong with Dave's Ducts.

Hire A Maid has been working with me for over two years with bi-weekly cleans for a two-storey three-bedroom house (not the basement). In this time I have been consistently impressed with their thoroughness and excellent customer service. They are very transparent about issues such as pricing and they are very responsive when I need to communicate with them. I always get the sense that they work hard to accommodate my needs and my schedule. Also, they get along very well with my dog, and she is a great judge of character. I look forward to coming home when I know they have just finished a clean. I recommend them strongly.

A raccoon got stuck in my garage and hid in one of the corners for a few days before chewing his way out. I called Troy to investigate whether the raccoon was still there and to get him out if so. The raccoon wasn't there any more but Troy was able to identify the places where the raccoon tried to exit (and where it eventually succeeded). He installed a one-way door to give the raccoon an exit (without an entrance) if it ever got back in, and also pointed out all the places that we should try to barricade so it wouldn't get back in. A few months later, Troy returned to replace the one-way door with the soffit that had been pushed out and also took the time to check whether the raccoon had gotten back in at any point. Troy was very warm, informative, and helpful. He was also very professional and well-prepared. Thanks Troy!

Out of nowhere my shower handle just began dripping slowly. I turned it, thinking it was just partially open, and water started gushing from the handle. After determining this was not normal, I got on Homestars and put out a service request. Valentin of Strong Plumbing was first to the post and was able to diagnose the problem simply from the description. Valentin gave me his next available date, kept me updated on his whereabouts, and arrived on time. Within five minutes he was able to determine that the handle had been installed with a part missing, which caused the water pressure to slowly push out a component of the handle. He quickly replaced the part and repaired the issue. In addition to being extremely competent, Valentin was also an incredibly nice guy who took the time to pet my (overenthusiastic) pooch who also wanted to supervise the proceedings. He also took the time to inform me of a City program which would provide a significant rebate if I cared to install a backup sump pump. As a final note, Valentin's estimated cost was "on the money" - which is always nice when faced with the prospect of work by skilled trades. Please note that the "approximate cost" noted below was inclusive of HST. 10/10 would hire again.

I've worked with Cargo Cabbie twice now and each time I've been impressed by their professionalism and skill. Most recently I had to move from a four-flight walkup to a condo downtown. No service elevator and no loading bay, so I was prepared to pay through the nose. Not only did the Cargo Cabbie team get me moved out quickly and efficiently, they also completed the move under budget and faster than estimated - on one of the hottest days of the summer, to boot. Can't recommend these guys enough. I'll be using them again in the near future.

Before I begin gushing about Cargo Cabbie, let me give you the bottom line: your search can end here. Go with Cargo Cabbie, you will not regret it. The crew at Cargo Cabbie, from Hilary in the office to Javier/Dale/John in the crew were extremely pleasant, professional, responsive, and meticulous. The Cargo Cabbie team set a great impression even before any face-to-face contact was made. Hilary was upfront and provided clear, realistic estimates for packing services and moving services. She responded quickly to any questions we had and was very helpful in every aspect of planning the job. We had a last-minute change of date that they accommodated quickly. We knew our confidence in our selection was justified when the folks at Cargo Cabbie pulled into the tight back alley/loading entrance of our building at precisely 9:30 AM, as scheduled. When they arrived, they were friendly and ready to get cracking right away. When they loaded our items into their truck, they wrapped every single piece of furniture snug into blankets and were incredibly careful with every item. I would be very surprised if our furniture touched any wall, door, or other piece of furniture at any point during the move. They had my entire apartment empty within less than two hours. Our new apartment is only accessible by three flights of stairs, all twisty and narrow. To make things worse, the bedroom of the apartment involved another very narrow, steep stair. Although Javier and the crew were daunted, they worked extremely hard and set about the challenge with smiles on their faces and got everything done hours faster than I would have imagined. Mind you, this involved lugging a 300-pound bed up four flights of narrow, twisty stairs. I have a lot of unused superlatives in my pocket, all of which apply to the Cargo Cabbie crew. I won't overdo it because I'm sure they'll sound mythical by the time I'm through. However, I will say this much: Javier and his crew legitimately care about doing a good job. They are meticulous and do everything right, but they won't waste your time either. Our move could have been a nightmare - instead, we were able to get through it quickly and in such good order that we are now 80% unpacked after 48 hours. I have legitimately seen lawyers who are less detail-oriented than Javier. If you care about your things, if you have any stress about moving at all - call these guys and they will make sure it happens in good order. There is no question that every dollar you spend with Cargo Cabbie is worth it.
