CBC Christmas Miracle. I owe so much to this family of talented professionals. I never thought I was going to reach my renovation goals and couldn't have without their help. I could write a book about my contractor experiences and it all happened over only a 5 month period! After suffering through months of contractor no-shows, mess ups and overbillings, I had given up on the lot and decided to finish my own basement with help from friends and family on the weekends when they could make it. That was great in theory but none of us were professional, and no matter how hard we worked, I knew we couldn't get the finishes the way I wanted and certainly not in time. Pressure was high, as I had tenants taking over my main floor January 1st - a week away. All my resources had dried up, it was the holidays, and I was staring at 73 boxes of an Ikea kitchen that needed to be assembled and installed. Not only that, but I had about 30 boxes of tiles to lay, no doors, no hardware, no window casings, no plumbing, and no paint. There was a lot to be done. Feeling sick with worry, I remembered meeting a kind gentleman back in October who had a wealth of handy-man knowledge for the new home owner (ie: me ). At our initial meeting he had said to feel free to call if I needed some good advice. It was 3:00 pm Christmas Eve. I thought I would try him as I was clearly out of options. He answered the phone - that was the first miracle. He actually remembered me and our previous conversation and offered me the number to CBC Contractors. Unbelievably, they too answered their phone in person on Christmas Eve and we set up an appointment for the 27th - miracle number 2. CBC listened to my story and assessed what needed to be done. I had a written quote in less than 24 hours complete with time frame. All details were explained clearly as to what they would do - AND THEY DID IT - WELL!!! I was flabbergasted - honestly! CBC were so professional and understanding from the start. Their craftsmanship was outstanding. They turned my reno nightmare into my dream home. I'm so grateful for this experience; they have won a loyal customer for life.
