Kris at Rent-A-Wife was very flexible and accommodating when it came to scheduling the cleaning for my elderly mother. The cleaning job was spectacular and very thorough. There are MANY cleaning services out there but Rent-A-Wife will truly deliver on their promises.

Ewan Masonry was contracted last fall to create a cement curb, approximately 2 feet long to both fill a small hole and to improve the cement astethics. After assuring me that he would 'make it look nice', I was shocked to find the cement slapped on unevenly, with no apparent regard for appearance. $5 of cement and a garden trowel would have likely produced a similiar effect. Yes...the hole is filled. No...I am not satisfied and no I would not recommend Ewan Masonry to my friends and neighbours. If care can not be taken with the simple jobs, the larger ones (ie. my chiminey) just won't follow.

What a great company. Joe arrived to look at the work and give me quote. He followed up with me a week later, answered all my questions and we booked an appointment. Dave and Daniel showed up on time, polite and tidy and reviewed with me the work to be done. At the end of the day, my basement was cleaned, any old holes were cemented, and the new panel was professionally done...they also fixed my side gate and got me a Tim Hortons coffee (no charge). Thanks Guys...

I purchased a couch and chair in June of 2006, with an $800.00 deposit, promise of delivery in 4 months. It is December 13th and I am still waiting for delivery. Today I was told by Jordan that Brandsmart didn't have enough money to pay for the container (from Italy) to be released, (that has my furniture in it). Call him back next Tuesday, they might have their financing ready by then. Brandsmart is refusing to refund my deposit. I would never purchase from this company again. Postscript: Lets be thankful for Home Stars.ca or more consumers would not know where to spend their hard earned money. Anyone interest in contacting me to discuss the Brandsmart situation please e-mail me. Together perhaps we can find a solution to our issue.

Called to have an overhanging branch removed from my back yard. Wenda promptly came out, we reviewed the area and I approved the estimate. I was called with an appointment and the crew showed up as scheduled. It was a tricky removal as the 30'long and 10" thick branch was over wires. The crew used proper safty equipment and were done in forty minutes. They disposed of all branches and raked my yard thoroughly. It doesn't even look like they were here. Job well done.

Met with Brian Durand, manager of the Markham location in August 2006. He came to our home, took measurments of the back yard to insure a proper fitting pool, and supplied us with a portfolio of information. There was no pressure to sign, he wanted us to take our time and decide on style and options. After a week, a million answered questions, and reviewing other quotes we gave Brian a call back. We signed to have an 18 x 32 Lagoon installed in the spring of 2007. The crew led by Dave Crookshank arrived April 18th and on May 9th I dove into my new pool. At no time did I feel that I was receiving inferior products, construction, or attention to detail. No short cuts were taken. The crew was always polite and cleaned up after themselves.
