1/10

I hired Energy Crew as they were available for a move around Labour day. The quote that I received for my condo-to-house move was $350, which seemed quite reasonable. The online reviews were also quite positive, and the initial customer service seemed polite and prompt. Unfortunately, the detailed quote (with a list of all belongings/boxes, and details about the distance to be moved) proved extremely inaccurate. We paid over DOUBLE what we were quoted. In reporting this to the head of the company, he reported that he "would look into it" but never got back to us. There was no apology or information about the price discrepancy at any point in this process. If we had paid this much for a good move, perhaps I wouldn't be so annoyed. First - several of our belongings were damaged. The company pays 5 cents/pound for damaged goods through their insurance, so it was not worthwhile to complete the onerous paperwork only to likely receive a few dollars. Again - an apology would have been nice, but was never received. In addition, myself and my fiance ended up moving a great deal of the items ourselves. I have NEVER seen a crew move so slowly (of course, they are being paid by the hour). After watching them take 30 minutes to move a couple of boxes, we had to step in and basically move ourselves. To be clear, I'm a relatively small female. Some of the boxes that I could lift by myself quite easily, the crew was using two (extremely large and muscular) men to move. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism displayed by this company and their employees. I would not recommend them. They made our moving day more stressful than it should have been, and I regret not just paying for a U-Haul and moving ourselves.
