Interior Renovation Project for a Mosque
Being an IT Project Manager, this was my first construction project. The project entailed renovating the inside of a Mosque. The ceiling of the Mosque was designed as open "concept" ceiling with the top of the ceiling and the HVAC equipment painted in a "matt" black. To create the "open" concept ceiling, it was decided to use solid wood beams that would run horizontal and then vertical. Timber System Ltd was chosen as the contractor for the implementation and installation. The beams were made of GLULAM and were 10 1/4" x 16 1/2". From the inception, Timber Systems displayed exceptional professionalism by understanding the needs of the client, providing accurate and seamless timelines, produced a 3D video and technical specifications all of which not only produced an amazing installation but provided all the information that made the application for "City Permit", a "walk in the park". The installation team was truly an amazing act to observe. The direction and guidance of the CM was flawless. The preparation by the CM with the team showed why planning is ever so critical. As an example of "planning", even though the team had a 2 day late start on the actual installation, they finished on time, not a day late. Thank you Timber Systems Ltd!
