When I say this was the worst experience of my life, I'm not just referring to moving experiences, I'm referring to all experiences. Even my divorce wasn't this bad.
Got roped in just like some other people who have submitted reviews on this company. Once they have your stuff on their truck, you're screwed. They will line their pockets with as much of your cash as they can.
Our shipment was estimated at between 6000 and 8000 lbs. Once they loaded the truck they said that 8000 lbs is for 1/2 a truckload, and our stuff filled the truck to capacity, so 16,500 lbs. We said absolutely no way, we want to go to the weigh station, but they said they could not or would not do that and they insisted that we sign the flat rate agreement. Finally, after a long exhausting day we signed under duress just to get rid of them.
When I called Tara, the customer service rep, to ask if they would weigh the shipment once it comes out of storage, she hung up on me after saying she wouldn't (which I thought was a strange thing to say). When I immediately called back someone else answered the phone after many many rings and stated a contract is a contract and pay up or else.
When the truck arrived at our new home it was only half full, so it was all a ruse, and we paid at least double for this move. We are retired pensioners on a limited fixed income. What kind of company robs retired folk? I'll tell you...Move Me Again, that's who.
Here's a photo of that 'full' truck upon arrival at our new home. This is a 26 ft truck, not a 53 ft tractor-trailer. Look 'full' to you?
DO NOT HIRE THIS MOVING COMPANY! They should be out of business.
