Great service, professional and prompt. Moh came by today and he did a furnace maintenance service. The furnace is an older model, Moh did cleaning and CO / gas check. He explained what components could potentially go wrong in the future. No upsell - just straightforward advice which was much appreciated. Definitely recommend Best Way Heating. Thanks Moh. Update: Great follow-up service. I had an issue after furnace maintenance with the air return vent making a whirling noise. Jafar was super helpful on the phone. His diagnosis and advice was bang on! I recently contracted Randy from AAA Wildlife Control to address a raccoon issue at my home. The raccoon had penetrated one of the soffits and had gone into the roof. Randy was very professional and thorough in his inspection of the roof. He scanned all of the areas of the roof. He explained all of the areas where the raccoon had been and how it had likely gone from one area to the next. Randy also explained that he found some areas that were likely not from a raccoon, but from a squirrel (evidence both inside and outside). Randy explained the entire process of raccoon removal including keeping one of the soffits open in case there were any babies that wanted to come out (we fortunately did not find any babies). Afterwards, the penetrated soffit was fixed. Randy also walked me through all of the other areas of the roof that either already had issues (like the squirrel) or were likely going to have issues in the future (a small gap in part of the soffit that could allow birds to come in). Costs were very reasonable, but above all I felt Randy was fair, honest, and thorough with his work. I would have no hesitations recommending AAA Wildlife Control if you have a pest issue.

I'm very happy to be the first Homestars review for Shiny Power Wash. I'm very satisfied with the work that Chris and his crew did on my home. I contracted Shiny Power Wash to soft wash the exterior of my home and my roof. The work included applying solution to remove some of the moss that was growing on the blacktop driveway, cleaning of the gutters, and installing some larger more sturdier metal strainers in the downspouts. Chris and his team did a great job as you can see from the pictures, especially the north facing side of the house. I'm also very impressed with Chris' communication style. He's not pushy, very personable, and answers my questions via text very quickly. I was super happy that he also helped to fix some of the siding which had come apart and helped to fix part of my stairs (a step which had fallen off). Also, there was part of the soffit at the front of the house that had some dead branches inside the holes due to a plant that had grown into the soffit. His crew was nice to remove the dead branch debris from the soffit. I compared his quote to other companies. His quote was very reasonable. He also suggested other options to consider, which I ended up agreeing to add to the scope of work. I would not hesitate to call Shiny Power Washing for future work.

My family would like to thank Geoff, Ryan, and the rest of the team at Optimal Contracting (Roofing) for the excellent service provided in replacing our roof. Our original roof was concrete tile mounted on 1" strapping. We decided to go for the new composite roofing tiles from Enviroslate. Not a lot of contractors have experience with this new material - based on my research, Optimal is a leader in using this new tile. The scope of work included removing about 4 container bins of very heavy concrete tile, laying on new plywood sheathing and peel & stick, and applying the new composite roofing tiles. In fact, we were so happy with the quality of the re-roof that once the new roof was place, we contracted Optimal to also redo all of our gutters, and wrap all of our fascia boards in powder coated fascia. Since the install, we have received many compliments from both our neighbours and passerbys. Thanks to the Optimal Contracting team, you all did a wonderful job! My family would like to thank the team at Platinum Pro Claim Restoration (PPCR) for the excellent service provided to repair our fire damaged home. There was fire damage to the top floor and in the roof. PPCR was involved in both the emergency cleanup and restoration phases. We are very happy with Winny, our principle project manager. I am impressed with her ability to manage all aspects of the project from cleanup, framing, flooring, plumbing, electrical, roofing, etc. Kudos to PPCR’s extended team and others for supporting us. One clear example of exceptional service is that at the final stages of the project, the original roofing contractor bailed on the project in which the scope of work was already approved by the insurance company. Within a couple of weeks, PPCR was able to obtain approval from insurance for another roofing contractor to deliver the same scope of work ensuring continuity of the project. This was not easy as we are using a new composite roofing material in which not a lot of roofing contractors have experience with. During the restoration, we also ended up relocating to three temporary locations (hotel, townhouse, detached house), and recently moved back to our home. During the entire time, we had contents spread out in three separate locations: some at our fire damaged house, some in storage at PPCR’s Richmond location, and some that came along with us to each of the three temporary locations. We are very appreciative of Lyne and the rest of PPCR's contents team to ensure a very smooth transition each time we moved. The contents team was very accommodating such as the time we had to pull contents from PPCR’s storage to retrieve some of our critical items. We ended up having to pull all 50+ boxes from the container in order to look through each box. The team also did an exceptional job of cleaning our home especially after months of being away and dust accumulated from construction. Thanks to the Platinum Pro Claim team, you all did a wonderful job!
