My wife and I are very happy we chose RJ carpentry to do our crown moldings. My neck hurts from contemplating everyday the great work he did in our ceilings. We found RJ at homestars. Ater few texts back and forth, we set up a date. Rj showed up on time. Rj and his partner installed crown mouldings in my 3000sq house in just 2 days ( the main floor including kitchen, powder room, living, family room, hallways and the 4 beds upstairs.) They worked very efficiently without making any mess. RJ is a man of few words but his work speaks volume. Anyone can hang and nail crown moldings but only a true master can perfectly match the corners and make seamless transitions. His rates were very competitive. And also provided the option to paint them. Although most other companies say there is no need to paint since they are already primed with white color, a fresh coat makes all the imperfections disappear. Definitely worth it. He did such a good job and we were so impressed we arranged to come back and do all the bathrooms and the laundry room. We strongly recommend RJ and will certainly call him for future work.

Finally, the time to improve the backyard came up. We decided to go for a small interlocking patio. After meeting several companies, we decided to go with Pro-loc. Other companies tried to low ball the cost of the project, but I knew it would end up being more at the end. We had originally contacted Steve of BBW ( Blackforest Woodworkings) to re do the mantle of the standard fireplace provided by the builder. After an email and voice message, got a response on the same day by Steve and arranged a time for a visit. After I explained to him what I wanted, he gave his honest professional opinion that it would be too costly and wouldn't look good. So I gave up on the fireplace idea. But since he was already here, I asked him what to do with two art niches that have been kind of an eye sore for a while. So he immediately suggested to create some built in shelves and showed me some examples of past works and gave a quote. All the work was done as promised and the shelves look awesome. Steve and his buddy were very professional. neat and finished on time. I would definitely recommend them and surely will call them again for future work.

Few days ago, we had an accident with the garage door. As I was backing out, I pressed the remote control by accident and the door came down and hit the back of the car. One of the hinges on the door came off and the cable attached to the spring came off too. I called several companies, but they were too busy or went to voice mail. When I called GDG, Nazer answered right away and was able to come on the evening of the same day. Nazer is very knowledgeable and professional. He fixed the problem right away. After the major problem was fixed, he checked both doors to make sure there were no other issues and he made a few tweaks here and there; applied some lubricant to all the joints; adjusted the torsion spring; and provided few recommendations for maintenance and to prevent future problems. He just did them without me asking for it. Now, that is what I call going the extra mile. I was very pleased with their professionalism, attentive service ,and they are quite affordable. I definitely recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future.

I found this company through a door to door salesman. Their prices were quite competitive and I decided to sign up with them. As promised the technician showed up next morning on time. They were quite efficient and competent. They were done in less than 2 hours and they cleaned up everything. I would definitely use them again.

After the interlock people finished the steps to the entrance of my house, they never bother to put back the railings. It was only a couple of years after, when an home inspector pointed out that, according to city bylaws, railings were required. So after a bit of a search I came across with DAR (Discount Aluminum Railings). From the first moment to the last I only dealt with Fred (owner). He was very attentive to my requests and offered the best possible options. The estimate he gave me was within my budget so we proceeded. After two weeks, he came back and finished the job by himself in 2 hours. Even though the steps are made of interlock stones, he was able to secure the post and the railings so the whole thing felt very secure. He is very attentive to details and almost a perfectionist. I would definitely recommend Fred. Not only because of cost but also because of his quality of work. You don't find this kind of responsible, knowledgeable and committed contractors everyday.

I am not the kind of person who likes to write reviews, however I have to give credit when is due and well deserved. I found Entry-doors Toronto in google and read some reviews in home stars so I decided to contact them for a quote. After a quick email I got a prompt replay the day after from Alex and we set up an appointment. When we met he showed us all the different options and pictures of past works. I really didn't kinow what to choose so I followed his recommendation. Basically, we had a cheap, standard door from the builder with a side window. Alex recommended to install a big, tall single fiberglass door with transom on top. As promised, two months after, Gabriel came to install the door. It took him 1&1/2 day to finish the installation all by himself. This guys is a real "master" of the craft. He is very professional, dedicated and a true "artist". The end results was spectacular. Every time I walked by the door I can't help it but stop at it , stare at it, touch it, and open it to look at it from the outside. All the neighbours and visitors keep complimenting on the new door. One thing we noticed it is that the cold draft we had in the foyer it is now gone (damned cheap builders). Overall, it was a bit pricey but well worth it. One of the best decisions I ever made. A big applause for both Alex and Gabriel. I will definitely recommend them to anyone and surely will call them again in the future.
