After several years of faithful service my home PC finally died on me. I dropped in to see Joseph at Fujitech Technologies and after quickly diagnosing the problem (a faulty disk drive issue) and quoting me a very reasonable price to upgrade the disk drive so as to address the problem, I was able to pick up my fixed computer 4 hours later. Now you can't beat that for fast same day service ! So the bottom line: be prepared to spend a fair price for quality service. If you need a plumbing tradesman to complete a small household project expertly and in a timely manner then the people to contact are the professionals at DrainWorks. Over the last 16 years we've now used these folks 4 times and, as in the past, continue to give them top rating on HomeStars. The latest project consisted of replacement / repairs to every inside sink tap in our house kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room. One call to J.P. at DrainWorks was all it took. By the next day a professional job was completed. Armando and Josh both did an excellent job. My wife and I are very pleased with the results. Thanks guys !

Like every other Homestars review previously posted here I too have been a long time satisfied Nordicair customer. You can’t find a better knowledgeable dependable Frigidaire furnace contractor in Toronto in my opinion. Seven years ago we replaced our old furnace with the latest high efficiency two stage Frigidaire furnace and Hepa Air filtration system. Our house is thus dust free year round along with being cosy warm all winter. Mario and Dorin over the years have taken excellent care of all our heating needs and so each year when I arrange for our annual furnace maintenance tune-up I turn to the guys from Nordicair for their excellent service, fast response, and reasonable rates. We frequently use Homestars to find a reputable contractor but at rare times the highest rated isn't always the most feasible convenient one to choose. Recently we experienced some electrical problems in our house and, after first checking with HYDRO, set about trying to find a good electrician. However in checking with one of the top-rated choices we were advised that it would be weeks before they could see us. As I considered this to be a safety issue (which it turned out to be), I decided instead to contact OM Depot, whom we had used successfully in the past. We contacted Michael who fortunately was able to drop by a few hours later. Michael is a very honest knowledgeable electrician expert who quickly diagnosed the problem and performed only the tasks (no more - no less) required to effectively fix the problem. I highly recommend him.

Man, was I impressed! Contacted Markham Garage Doors at noon and had the problem resolved by 3:30 pm. Andrea (who took my request) and Rob (who dropped by to do the work) both took good care of me. The work consisted of a crew of 4 taking one work day to remove garden and lawn material on a 12 x 12 ft area, preparing the cement forms, machine compacting the soil, installing a gravel bed with rebar, taking ready mix cement truck delivery, and then installing the concrete base. Allowing for 2 days of cement curing, Matthew and Will then later returned to spend a second work day installing the shed and taking away the garden and lawn material along with the shed packing material. All work was done in a professional and friendly manner. Matthew told me that this was one of his larger shed installs and it certainly wasn't a job for any amateur (such as myself). Conclusion: if you want an honest professional job, pay an honest reasonable price to get the job done right the first time using quality materials and experienced services that come with warranties. We own a detached split level house with a Mansard roof. This is a difficult roof to cover as it sits not just on top of the house but also continues halfway down all of the sides of the house. Several years ago we had a bad experience when another roofing company attempted to re-shingle our house. The original crew did such a bad job that, after considerable pressure, the roofing company was forced to completely remove their top quality shingles and, with a better qualified crew, completely redo the job from scratch and absorb the cost! We were determined not to have history repeat itself and New Steel Roofers didn’t let us down. Tony and his crew went the extra mile to install our new stone coated steel roof in an expert European attention-to-detail manner. Despite occasional rain delays, in 5 working days the guys removed our old shingles, checked for any water leakage (fortunately none was found), installed waterproof roofing underlay on day #1 (so that no roof leaks occurred during the heavy rainy days that interspersed the work), and then did a great job in installing our new roof. Daily cleanup ensured that our house surroundings were always well maintained. These guys did an excellent job, meeting all our requirements and expectations. The price, while not low as a simple re-shingle roofing job would have cost, was fair considering the results delivered and the challenge and effort required in expertly doing so.
