Family Room, 2nd Floor Renovation
After visiting several showrooms, and getting rough estimates we came across Oakland Flooring, and felt quite comfortable dealing with the sales staff. Unlike many others we've encountered in our search, Oakland's staff listened to our needs, and didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. They came by and gave us an estimate, and we agreed on the pricing. We had a tight deadline to meet, and were assured that everything would be completed by that time.
In short time, 3 different crews came in (Hardwood, Broadloom, and Ceramic Tiling). The hardwood was installed quickly by one guy, and the quality of the work was very good.
The broadloom was installed by two very professional guys, and in two days they completed the entire upper level, and curved staircase. Their work was outstanding.
The tiles were installed by one guy, who didn't pay attention to details, and some tiles were installed uneven. I complained and told them I was not happy with his work, and they offered to have the entire tiling job redone by another, more qualified installer. In the end, I was pleased that they came through with their promise immediately, and I was satisfied with the tiling work done by the other installer.
Although some mistakes were made, I would definitely recommend them because of their integrity, which in my opinion is something many businesses are lacking in this day.
