My fridge wasn’t making ice-cubes and the filtered water wasn’t working. I left a message at Modern, Peter returned my call promptly and arrived the next morning within the 2 hour window that he told me with a new temperature sensor which he installed. We had discussed the possible problem and price already on the phone. Before the installation, he defrosted the frozen water line and gave me the option of waiting a day or two (since there was no way of testing the sensor) to see if it could be just a simple inexpensive fix.
He told me that if had to come back there would be no extra charge for that as there is one flat rate for the service done, no matter how many repeat trips or hours spent, and I would have to pay just for the part. How great is that!? I chose to have the part installed as he was already here and I have had issues with this fridge in the past.
The next day…the same problem. I called Peter back and he showed up the day after, again when he said he would, with a new part after spending some time making calls to KitchenAid. He did not charge me for the original part and installed the new part with no additional service charge. The fridge has been working perfectly since.
