CBC Discount Moving and Storage

These guys are the real deal. My brother hired this guy on his big family moving day and i was there to help him organize stuff and so on. They arrived on time and treated his belongings with care. They were also very knowledgeable and help us feel at ease with the move. Over all I would highly recommend there service to anyone looking to make a move in the area.

We hired CBC to do our move. Stephan was the guy that i spoke to and had booked the move with him. The movers showed up 30 minutes late firstly, secondly the driver (Marty) was an absolute rude indivdiual and had no sense of professionalism and manners. Right from the first step into our house, he started using profane words to describe the furniture he had to haul into the truck. He refused to dismantle my bedroom furniture although Stephan told me that they do dismantle and assemble all furniture.

Marty and his helper took almot four hours to load up the stuff into the truck (1 bedroom suite with around 40 boxes and bags). Once we got to our new house, Marty demanded full payment prior to offloading all my furniture. I basically had a gun to my head and had to pay in the full amount in order to get my furniture back. On top of that, Marty was incapable of carrying heavy items upstairs and I had to get involved in moving my own items. I paid Marty 10 hours of work for only 7 hours of actual work and I took alot of abuse from Marty (he spoke to me in a manner as I was some dog on the street). The reasoning behind him charging me $165 more was that I had stairs in the house and the furniture was heavy, that is why he took more than what I was quoted. (Come on, who thinks furniture weights less than a 100 grams and which house does not have stairs).

I will ADVISE EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM CBC DISCOUNT MOVING AND STORAGE. Worst company to deal with and now after leaving several messages with the owner, they are not returning calls. Stephan has been uncooperative and does not believe it is his responsibility to work with me.

Avoid this company!!! Late, rude and overcharged us for the job. When booking a very small moving job, Stefan (owner, operator) quoted a fair price and day of job added on extra unexpected charges, like 2 hour minimum and drop off charge. They were also almost 2 hours late for the job and very rude and offered no apology. When trying to settle at the end of the job drivers drove off in the middle of our conversation. Never did hear back from Stefan, my 15 + phone calls to him attempting to rectify situation still remain unanswered. Should have gone with my gut on this one...their name is a dead give away...you get what you pay for. However in this situation there was no deal and no service. Looking back at situation 2 things surprised me, that they actually showed up in the first place and that they didn't break anything! I would not recommend CBC Moving. Please save yourself the grief, do not hire these guys.
