I would highly recommend Alex & the AV Build team to anyone looking for interior and exterior work. Having gone through numerous home renovations and several contractors I can confidently say AV Build was #1 in every category. It was a phenomenal experience after using MANY other companies for other jobs. Great team thats very honest and very talented. You can tell they cared. I will be contacting AV Build for any future interior and exterior renovations moving forward.

Alex and the team from AVbuild were amazing to work with. They quickly responded to my post on Homestars, made the time right away to review what I wanted to be done, suggested new ideas, and went above and beyond to get the work done in a timely manner rain or shine. The final product was outstanding, and we've already recommended them to several people and planning more work with them!

I hired AV Build to help with a basemen renovation I was undergoing in a new build house. I had met with two other companies for work however I wasnt satisfied with the company. AV Build came to look at the job, they were detailed, professional, paid attention to detail and had great suggestions. AV Build also seemed to have all the proper tools required for the job and didnt cheap out on what they used to do the job well. I was extremely satisfied with their drywall work, tiling, flooring and ability to install baseboards to perfection. I have had some bad experience in the past so finding a team who I can trust in my house was extremely satisfying.

Two years passed and I decided to do some hard scraping on the front of my house as well as add a sunroom addition on the back (complex job). THe stone work they did is amazing in the front, super satisfied and extremely thankful for everything they did. Its tough work but they took their time to ensure they did the job correctly. Never did I feel they were rushing through the job just to get to the next one. Very good attention to detail. For the back sunroom I built a 16x16 room attached to the house which they were able to do. Its been through fall and winter, no leaks or any issues at all so far. The structure was tied in nicely to the house and my experience with Alex and Josh were of course excellent. If you want a company that you can trust to take care of your house and do the work properly, AV Build is definitely a top notch company. One things that I feel sets them apart from some others is they have a strong vision for current trends and what looks nice together which can be lacking for some companies. Would 100% hire again, I still have some more work to complete which Im sure Ill need their help with.

My wife and I have been talking about a major Reno for our kitchen for years before finally deciding that now was the time. After extensive research, we landed on a local company which was AVBuild. We were sold on these guys after they came to our home to discuss what we were looking for. They took our idea and let us know what we could and could not do on our initial plan and then showed us a number of wonderful ideas. We were so impressed that we decided to have the rest of our main floor done while we were at it. Alex and Joshua went above and beyond to make everything as smooth as possible and let us us know what we could expect each step of the way. We are just blown away by their attention to detail and understanding as we added a few things along the way. We are both pleased as we feel like we have a whole new home! The AV Build team were extremely meticulous and provided a wonderful experience. The quality of the material and craftsmanship is what drew me towards AV Build based on neighbour reviews. They were prompt and exceeded all my expectations. I recommend them to everyone I know and wont hesitate to hire them again in the future.

In 2011 we bought a bit of a fixer upper in an amazing central location on the Rideau River. To date we've put in 16 major independent renovation projects. Our latest renovation (summer 2022) was a second floor balcony and first floor deck with AVBuild. It has been hands down our best overall experience and my wife and I agree it is our favourite renovation to date by a long shot.

Our deck was completed by Alex, Josh and Jake over two months ago and we still gush about how much we love it daily. We had a vision which we explained to Alex. He took our vision, evolved it, and simply turned it into a masterpiece.

Every step of the way with AVBuild has been top notch. An awesome team of really great guys with an excellent vibe. The best work ethic we've seen to date (really rare to find these days). Extremely timely, thorough, friendly, professional and effective communication. Lived up to every single one of their promises. Very clean and well organized. Took the lead to take us through all the appropriate channels for needed city approvals and made what could have been a headache an extremely easy and smooth process. 100% kept to the original quoted budget. Top quality workmanship. And when I say that, I mean even my Dad said it was excellent work and he couldn't have done better himself (and he's literally complained about a boat load of things with every other project we've done). Value for what we got was really fantastic. Extremely professionally run business in every regard and from day one we knew and felt we were in good hands (AVBuild was enthusiastically recommended to us by my cousin who used their services as well).

There was one big hiccup where the main power line to our house was accidentally severed. They honestly could not have handled it better. Thank God no one was hurt. Very cool under pressure, coordinated the right people to fix the problem right away and had it resolved early the next morning which could not have been done quicker.

We can't even begin to express how much we love our new outdoor spaces and everyone who's come over to see it has ooooooooooo'ed and aaaaaahhhhhhh'ed the moment they step into our backyard. Everyone seems to genuinely think it is a MASSIVE improvement over what was there before and that it is quite literally, perfect.

My only hesitation in recommending these guys is that I don't want them to be too busy so that we can hire them on for future projects, lol! So keep them busy ya'll, but not too busy!

AV Builds not only delivered on these, but went above and beyond my expectations on timing, helping with supplying materials, flexibility of changing design along the project, great consultation on options, costs, pros and cons and finally commitment to customer satisfaction

I had to give up my bedroom office to convert to a nursery so I needed a new office space in my house. AVBuild helped me envision my basement set up and ultimately turned an unfinished storage room into a sleek office set up with high tech vibes. Between matching and installing flooring, framing around many pipes and vents, and tying it all in to an accent wall, the room came together extremely well. Most notably they also came up with clever ways to keep access to the water shut offs and clean outs while still hiding it so it did not ruin the ascetic of the room. AVBuild were extremely professional, highly detail oriented, willing to talk through options and explain pros and cons, and their finishing quality is superb. This is the third project I have had them do at my house and I will continue to leverage them for future work.

My wife and I moved into a new home and we reached out to the AVBuild team to help us completely gut and renovate our master bathroom. The AVBuild team took the time to really understand our vision, provide us with a detailed quote and finish the work on budget and ahead of schedule. AVBuild took extra precautions to protect the other surfaces in the house like our hardwood floors. They double-checked details with us every step of the way to ensure the end result would meet our expectations. The quality of the craftmanship is through the roof. I would strongly recommend AVBuild.
