We hired Doug to look at our dryer outlet as we had heard a loud "pop" and the outlet had turned black. He called right away and asked us to turn off the breaker and unplug the dryer as this was not safe (thanks for that). He was able to come the next day, with the needed parts. Upon inspecting the outlet and plug, he realized the plug looked as if something had hit it and dented it. Turns out the metal in our dryer vent tubing had somehow fallen between the plug and the outlet causing a "short". He taped up the metal from the vent with electrical tape so it would not happen again until we were able to replace the dryer vent. He also checked the breaker, plugged the machine in and made sure all was working well. He charged us a very fair amount for his time. Honestly, he could have told us anything at that point and taken advantage of us, but he was so honest and let us know there was no issue, as long as we replaced the dryer vent. He was also great with my curious kids, who stood around the whole time asking questions!

Iron Core Electric coordinated the work with Hydro, tested the system with our generator, and built us a long cable allowing us flexibility in placing the generator on our property.
