Alex did a truly top-notch, 10/10 quality job constructing my wood fence. He took great care to build us a fence that looks better than wed have imagined and adds a polish to our property.
Our yard had some tricky things to consider, and Alex was great about communicating the pros and cons of any available solutions. He was professional throughout every interaction - from providing us a quote through to finishing off the gates.

Alex and Tammy created a beautiful custom gate for us which they custom installed to fit and open on our backyard fence posts. Alex also replaced some warped fence boards for us. Alex contacted me within minutes of submitting a request on Homestars, and within minutes had booked him to come in two days to install my flush mount. I accepted his quote immediately and later found out that his quote was very reasonable - its nice to know that hes fair and honest! He also went out of his way to pick up some parts for me. Alex did an fantastic job on our project: an old falling-down garage had to be demolished and replaced with a parking pad on our laneway; an old fence had to be totally replaced on one side; a new portion had to be added on the other side; a new locking garden gate and fence separating the garden from the parking pad was needed. It was also complicated by the need to work cooperatively with our neighbours on both sides, the need to not disrupt the garden and climbing vines, and a tight fit between our back deck and our neighbour's deck. Alex was infinitely patient with all this, communicated sensitively and respectfully with our neighbours, and problem-solved the inevitable surprises with patience and good humour. His suggested addition of more gravel and a stone step into the parking pad (where springtime water tends to collect) was added value. The result is without doubt the most solid and attractive fence we've seen. Thanks also to Tammy, Alex's equally patient partner in business and life, and Harley.
