Zikria was quick to reach out to my request, quick to come by in-person, and patient during the booking process. Promises were made, a lengthy contract was presented, we signed.
Zikria's team also showed up as promised, and that is where things went down hill.
In the contract, it states a few basic things, including a clause that I was surprised to see (I will get into that in a moment): Low/Zero VOC paint used, receptacle plates, and light switch plates removed and put back on , floor will be covered with drop sheets, painter on site will ask where to wash supplies, paint 2 coats plus primer AND leave a 5 star review when the process is complete (WHAT).
Zikria contracts out his paint work, of which they were very sloppy. The floors in the home were just put in, and to our shock there were no drop cloths put down, paint splatter, and residue all over. This was not as promised. Half of the recepticles themselves (not the plates) were painted over which now we have to replace and 75% of the wall plates (light and electric) were painted to the actual wall. Ontop of this, primer was not used, as the paint around the whole house is already pealing.... You can see when it comes off that its just one thin layer of paint.
I called Zikria back to take a look, and voiced my concerns, of which he sent someone back to touch up small spots, and remove all the faceplates so I dont peel the paint. That part was a waste of time, and I should have just completed it myself (2 week wait).
Zikria did not follow his own contract, and for that, I am not following the "leave a 5 star review" on mine. HomeStars - you should review this as if an agreement is in place for a 5 star review, no wonder this company is winning Best of the Best.
Zikria, I am very disappointed in your work, and that simple things were not followed. Now I have to strip, and repaint both exterior doors, and spending an additional $700 on replacing painted over electrical sockets.
