I recently hired Matt @ Mad Dog to put in new Hardie board, a roof, eavestroughs, soffits, and fascia on my house. They finished everything on time and worked hard every day. What really stood out was how much attention they gave to all the little details, all the pieces matched up, no damaged/ dinged boards installed, straight lines cuts/ butting up and caulking and paint work. Everything looks really well done, and you can tell they take pride in their work. In the month since I cant find any area of the house where they tried to hide subpar work, its all done right.

During the process Matt made several recommendations that really made the end result better than if I had been left to my own design for both aesthetic and function. Like the window and door trim treatment/product, hose bib and exterior lighting mounts and accent piece on top gable. During the whole process he kept us up to date on timing, work schedule etc and any issues he identified along the way.

The team was also very good about keeping the place clean. Every day, they cleaned up after themselves and didnt leave any mess behind, which I really appreciated.

Walking around my neighbourhood after the hail storm repairs have/are taking place and speaking with my neighbours about their experiences with people they used I can see the difference using Mad Dog made.

Mad dog exteriors came and removed my existing roof. Did a few repairs to the existing plywood and replaced the roof with lovely shingles in a few days when we were gone on vacation I cannot say enough good things about Matt exteriors and more importantly the communication with the owner Matt.

I had them do the repairs from the 2024 hail storm that hit Calgary. Excellent communication throughout the experience. The work included shingles, siding, eves trough and a garage door. All the work was on time when they said it would happen and they did a good job keeping the site clean.

The service was much better than I had in the past when I went with the contractors that the insurance provider recommended. Those were always really big contractor companies and it was always hard to get a hold of anyone if you had questions or concerns.

I would recommend Mad Dog to anyone looking for this type of work.

Experienced, mighty efficient, and high quality team! Matt took the time to explain how the whole process would work, including what I can expect from insurance, tips for dealing with insurance, and even put a placeholder repair date before I received the insurance payout. My roof started leaking a few weeks after the hail storm and he inspected it and put a temporary seal on a pipe seal that had come loose at no charge. His team made sure all materials didnt have any deficiencies and installed them very quickly while maintaining a clean job site. Highly recommend.

My home was damaged in the record hail storm in Calgary in August. It was the first time filing an insurance claim and was overwhelming trying to find and choose the right contractor to do the work on my home. Some did roofs only, some siding only and of course there were a lot of door knockers and out of province companies looking to cash in. We had alot of water damaged/ swollen and falling off siding on the back wall of our house. Matt and his crew ripped it all off (along with a questionable ad on roof from the old homeowner), dealt with some waterproofing and sheeting issues, installed new battens and Hardie. Very happy with the quality of work. He was also able to work in some of the old siding to cover an old hole in one of the side walls. Very professional and reasonable pricing. Started on time and done in a timely manner. Highly recommended!

Our home was hit with hail.

Matt knew where to source our siding colour/profile to match the existing. So rather than having to replace everything we were able to just take care of problematic areas.

Matt gave us a heads up when stripping the old siding that the nails were excessively rusted on some walls. Which led us to investigate further and we were able to rectify some underlying problems that we would not have known about if he didn't notify us.

He also has tricks to replace the visible drip cap edges without having to tear off the battens or rip apart half of the wall. Which saved having to do a lot more work.

He has a crew that does full length gutters (no joints).

He showed up on time, had great communication, finished on time, cleaned up after himself and billed as per the quote.

Very satisfied with his work. We would highly recommend Mad Dog Exteriors.

Matt completed the Hardie Board, soffot and gutters on our new garage. He will be completing the exterior of our house over the next few weeks. Easy to work with considering I am doing some of the work myself and moving schedule. Would highly recommend
