I knew this company from the advertising and got the quote for 5 windows from the sales person Cherry. Before I signed the contract, I had already told her at least 3 times that I want to get the rebate by the greener home grant program launched by the government on May 27, 2021. She did not tell me the brand of the windows they will install before I signed the contract, she only promised me that windows were qualified for the rebate and confirmed the price (including the cleaning, tax, etc )over the phone. She also reminded me I can book an appointment with the energy advisor and do the pre-retrofit assessment first. Then I paid the 20% down payment by cash to her and I paid energy advisor $452 for pre-retrofit assessment. The energy advisor told me the brand and the model of the windows must meet the government's eligible criteria, I can get the reimbursement after. I asked Cherry for the windows features (brand, model, etc.) as the energy advisor asked me to do so. Cherry told me by text message that only 3 windows would be qualified for the government rebate. I need to pay more to meet the government's criteria. I tried to call/ text her for more clarification. But she did not get back to me by phone or text message. She didn't keep her words and her behaviour was not professional on behalf of the company. I want to complain to Markham sales person Cherry and I need someone from the higher level of the company to solve this issue.
