A Team Appliance Repair

We use this company when we had an issue with our freezer. The technician who arrived seem pretty good, but then a month later we had another issue this time with the fridge itself. The technician who came was terrible. Not at all helpful and quoted us 5 to 10 days to receive new parts. The process took more than two weeks and every time we call customer service they didnt seem at all concerned about the timeframe it took for the parts to arrive. The technician came back to fix the fridge, and did not help us put any of the parts back together that we ended up having to do it ourselves, not knowing how it all worked and ended up breaking one of the pieces which is probably gonna cost us even more money for replacement. All weve paid this company just shy of $1500 which I regret. Will not use them ever again.

Contacted them may 1 for my WOLF microwave repair. Still have not received the replacement part as of July 23 and they took my built in microwave control panel
Leaving me without a microwave. I have called 3 times asking for an update and no one gets back to me. Absolute terrible service.

My mistake... not reading these reviews. Our fridge broke on a Sunday. For $380 the guy told us that the compressor was blown. Ok, so far. He told us that it would take a couple of days to get a compressor and would cost $1500 in parts and labour. Apparently it arrived the next day. Great. We were told that the compressor specialist only worked on Saturdays and Sundays. Guess what? He never showed up. By the Monday (8 days after the fridge died) I was told that it would not be till Saturday. I lost confidence. I told them I had to cancel the job. I told them that I couldn't wait any longer. They then told me that I would have to pay a restocking fee on the compressor. They wanted 15% on the $1500. When I asked how much the compressor cost they said, $1500. They wanted me to believe there was no labour cost or mark up? I asked for a picture of the compressor and the invoice for the compressor. They wouldn't.... like these are trade secrets. What are they hiding? Not surprisingly, when I politely asked to the owner's name, they said it was policy to not give out names. Everything about them made me think "they are not to be trusted, this is a ...."
Then I read the reviews. I mentioned the reviews to them. They brushed off my comment.
The disputed amount is $264.00. We gave them a $881 deposit. when I asked for the undisputed amount of $617, they said they wouldn't release that money until I signed a waiver agreeing to not dispute the restocking fee. Clearly this happens all the time to them.
I'm calling my lawyer. My advise, NEVER call these people.

Costed me 950 and still with a broken washer. Quoted 550 + tax for the part plus 350 labour. When I try to cancel the service, they said they will charge me over 700 for unperformed labour. The technician then borke the control panel and display when replacing another part. They would like to charge me more to then fix these additional parts, how ridiculous is that!

DO NOT EVER USE THIS Company. I wish I saw the reviews earlier. Their company site review is completely misleading.

We had an issue with our dryer losing heat. We had a "technician" from The A Team Appliance Repair company "repair" our dryer indicating it had been fixed. Although the dryer now appeared to produce heat it was very hot with a "burning" odour. Within hours the dryer was no longer working. In less than 24 hrs we called the company for a follow up service call as the technician stated we had a "30 day warranty on the repair". I repeat - the repair did not last 24 hrs. The company set up another service call for 3 days later but did not show up. Upon calling the company they weren't able to get anyone back for at least two weeks. Upon having another company repair it after The A Team was unable to return, we found that the element was not installed properly as the wiring was not grounded and it was only secured with 3 screws as opposed to the 6 screws needed. We also became aware that the 3 parts that they charged us for were three times the market price. Although the technician stated the repair was warrantied for 30 days, the fine print in their service contract states that The A Team "will determine warranty eligibility in its sole discretion". I should also note that although initially the customer service department stated we would receive a refund less a stocking fee, and further follow up with accounting stated "the cheque was ready to be signed" our latest phone call to accounting 40 days later stated "you are not eligible for a refund as the parts were already installed and you are not eligible for a warranty". This story is consistent with MANY other reviews I sadly did not read before having this company to our home. Given the poor workmanship I am not confident their technicians are legitimately licensed and I hope you can determine what type of company you will be dealing with if you engage with this company.

Terrible experience and service.
I needed a dishwasher repair and their website looked reputable. I was wrong. I had an error message that was not allowing the dishwasher to run. The service technician advised this it was a valve drain issue and proceeded to charge me over $290 which he claimed would fix the problem. He then said it I needed a new Drain pump for $175.00. He claimed the dishwasher was fixed and I paid in good faith. When I went to check it before he left, I still had the same error which makes me question if I really needed that part. He then proceeded to run it and asked us to wait until the cycle ended and if it didn't work that the repair was under warranty. Well, it didn't work and I called them back. The same technician then advised I would need a new mother board for $700. I declined and asked for refund since they never fixed the issue. Their call centre with a scripted reply would not escalate the issue and refused to refund any portion of my cost which was over $526. I feel like I was taken advantage of. Stay away and do your research.

We called them in to fix our dishwasher, which wasn't draining properly. The technician who did not inspire a lot of faith, he arrived without any kind of protection for the floors in our condo, told us there was a service fee that would be included in the price of repairs. He then diagnosed that the pump had failed (which made sense), but also that we needed a new motor (which made no sense as the dishwasher, worked). He needed to order a new motor. We waited, called them, the wrong part had been ordered. Should have been a red flag. Waited another week, technician called in sick, rescheduled for 3 days later. We waited, technician called in sick again. We then read the reviews, which we should have done in the first place and realized the company was not interested in providing the service you pay for. Asked for refund for the part, was told re-stocking fees and a cheque will be mailed. We will see.

Called them out to repair Miele dishwasher.
Call out fee $333. Stayed 5 minutes and said new circulation pump needed at $1521 plus tax.
Second op ion from Miela with $99 service call out is needs a new drainage pump at $400 approx.
my mistake should have gone direct to Miele. However lesson learnt I will not use these them again and hopefully my experience helps others. I gave them opportunity to comment and they standby their engineers opinion , fair enough I stand by my opinion too.

DO not call this company. They come in only to collect the service fee & then tell you that you have the MOST expensive repair needed. My quote was $850.00 which is what I paid for the dishwasher.
NEVER again

Our LG washing machine broke ... would not spin. The A Team came same day April 22/24 and assessed ... needs new motor assembly - $785.73 (have to pay by etransfer or interact) plus $400 balance upon completion. April 30/2024 second tech Raji comes by to say that it is not the motor but the Inner Drum Assembly costing an additional $165.57 = $932.26. Again paid by interact.
We wait 4+ weeks and the 2 repairmen come June 3/2024 to install the inner drum kit. I made a point of watching them work and when the job was completed watch them test. The machine still did not spin and then Raji torqued the bolt on to the end of the drum housing ...completely shearing it. Now Raji said I needed a rear drum assembly $895.62 plus tax. I told them to leave and at least saved myself from an addition $400. ... disappointed there are companies out there taking advantage of their customers.
