Colin was friendly, easy to communicate with and accommodating with regard to negotiating the contract. He was very skilled at climbing the tree and taking it down gradually rather than felling it and risking damage to the front lawn. He and his crew members were punctual, efficient and left no mess. I strongly recommend this company.

I put up my request on Homestars that I needed a med sized maple and a small spruce tree.Collin from Climbing Bear Tree care responded. The appointment was set up, he was on time on the scheduled day, the tree removal was completed in record time. He removed all the debit and when it was completed and everything looked great.

Collin is a very professional person, easy to talk to and the rates were so reasonable that I referred him to two other people a neighbor and my cousin both had him do work for them!! Hats off to Collin for the excellent job!! I would recommend him in a heart beat!!

Colin set up a time via e-mail to sight the hedge and arrived promptly to do the estimate (then found out that 10 other neighbours wanted their hedge done :-). A very fair quote was rec'd by all 10 and a start date set up for the following week. All 10 of the group were very pleased with the results. We (all 10) will be asking for him next fall for sure.

Very old oak tree branches on our roof and neighbours both sides. Contractor trimmed back all the overhanging branches, removed dead branches in oak and cedar.

a) they were here when they said they would be
b) did exactly what we wanted done
c) cleaned up all the debris
d) asked us to check we were satisfied when they were finished, before we paid.

Colin did a great job pruning and shaping my apple tree. He arrived on time, the tree looks great and he cleaned up all of the branches and sawdust when he was done. He was also respectful to my townhouse neighbors. Highly recommend.

After visiting my property, Colin gave me a very reasonable estimate and came back to trim the two trees not long after. The work was to trim two very large tall trees that are also close to hydro lines.
He did a great job of clearing out the deadwood and trimming lower branches to lift up the branches, as well as climbing up to get to branches further up the tree nearer the top. Left the property clear of all the cut branches and debris.

Colin is an amazing tree professional. He does his work in a safe and thoughtful way. We had a number of very large trees to trim in a tight urban space in downtown Ottawa. After my research of tree service experts in Ottawa (thanks to HomeStars.com to facilitate my research), I finalized my top 3 companies to prune my 30-year-old Norway maple tree in the front lawn and another small tree on the side. Colin from Climbing Bear came to my house to look at the trees and told us what needed to be done. He gave us a very reasonable quote, and we decided to go ahead with Climbing Bear and booked the time for the job in the same week. Colin did an amazing job! Colin and his assistant also did a good clean-up job as well. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
