I had a very similar situation with 'Will Reno's' quite recently in which Will came by the house, looked at some work to be done on my fence and back porch, quoted me $8,000.00 for the work (plus HST but didn't give me an HST number), and took a $3,500.00 deposit for the work and then after taking a portion of the fence apart and leaving the garbage on the driveway, started making excuses as to why the job was bigger than he originally thought that it was and never finished what he started.

After numerous conversations he promised to pay me a portion of my deposit back which has never materialized. To date, all I've received are promises to re-pay me which he's missed each and every time that he's made them.

Other's in my area have had the exact same issues with this contractor as I have and many have yet to either see their money returned or their projects completed. Stay away from Will Reno's, Will Interiors and this contractor - you'll just be disappointed.

Took 60% up front deposit to paint outside of house. The contractor promised to finished the job in three days with three painters. Instead a guy with a ladder for a 35 foot peak showed up for a few hours then the job was abandoned likely because the painter saw how dangerous it was to do on a ladder instead of scaffolding. After weeks of promising to get the job done the work is completely abandoned.

Will drew up a work order to paint the exterior of our house and do some minor repairs. We made the mistake of putting down a deposit of over 50% ($7000).

After frequent calls and reminders, Will made promises to finish the work every other day, but only 10% of the work was completed before he stopped showing up and stopped returning our calls. We asked for a portion of deposit back and this was never delivered. He has also charged HST and has not provided an HST number after numerous requests.

We have talked to others in the neighbourhood who have had similar experiences, and hope these get shared as well.

Will is a charming person, but should not be trusted. I hope this review saves you from our terrible experience.
