1. No sense of professionalism/consideration of owners' house - they took no care that they are working on someone else's house. They worked until 10pm, which resulted in the neighbors to complain about the noise. They turned on the furnace, so all the dirt and mess blew into the furnace and broke the furnace.
They made a lot of mess they didn't bother to clean.

2. Poor communication - 2 days before the construction start, they asked us to contact the structural engineer. Once they confirmed that they'll need 4 lvls, they asked us for extra money for the materials they did not account in their invoice.

3. Poor quality - have you seen a meme where a painter paints around an obstacle, rather than moving it to do a good job? Because it's 'not their job' ... yes. A lot of those - so we ended up needing to do a lot more ourselves to correct the deficiencies even after we paid so much money. For example, it wasn't 'their job' bridge the gap between the LVL and the existing frame - so now one of our wall is floating on top of the LVL.

Overall, we used this company because the stair company we hired recommended these guys with the short time we had.

Impex Construction did a great job in demolishing and re-tiling my parents’ kitchen, powder room and front foyer at their home in Markham - it looks so much more modern now. The team was very hard-working and pleasant to deal with. They gave good suggestions and were reasonably priced and did a great job! Thanks Impex!

I hired Impex Construction to replace the flooring in my condo. I had the old laminate removed and the new laminate installed. I was impressed with the professionalism throughout the entire process. We recently hired Impex company to add a storage room in our basement.

So friendly and helpful. We were so impressed with the workmanship on our bathroom renovations and laminate floor installation. We ended up using them at 2 properties we own.
Would highly recommend, they did the jobs in a timely manner and always kept us up to date with what they were doing.
Even amongst all the Reno's they kept the areas as clean as possible.
They did 5 bathrooms for us between the properties and installed new flooring in our entire condo. (pics attached). We are very happy with all the work that was done from start to finish. They really know what they are doing and we had no issues.

Was looking to remove the wall between our kitchen and family room and was referred by our kitchen contractor to speak to Mohammad and Team.

They came in, inspected the wall and called out some concerns they may have and gave me a good idea of what to expect from a cost stand point and final product (size of opening, itemized costing of material and labour).

Overall the job took 3 days (about 19 hours). This is mainly because of store closures (Home Depot) due to the pandemic , any additional hardware that needed to be ordered was only available for pre-order and cut side pick-up. Hence it took a day longer. I’d say, barring that issue, this project would of taken two days. The team was on time and was respectful of the environment.

Price - Mohammad provided me a quote with line items everything which was great. We were able to see where we could save money by getting material ourselves or doing jobs our self such as Painting (which we decided to do). We received 3-4 quotes for the same job and they came in on the lower side. I decided to go with them because they were in our budget and the way they explained their approach on how they will accomplish this project and the material they used, matched with what others also said (but charged way more)

From my experience, I could honestly say I could trust them and felt safe working with them and having them in my house. That’s really tough to find with many contractors these days.

I would call them for any and all future projects and recommend them to my family and friends.

I hired Impex Construction for my basement renovation and finishing. I must say the level of their professionalism was exceptional.
