Very reliable and trustworthy

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Martin, Leo and their team in assisting with my recent move. This is my 2nd time with GM and have found them very professional. Our couch is usually very difficult to fit through a main door, but these guys did it in a flash with no damage. Everything put where we asked and the guys were very friendly. No doubt, I'll be calling on GetMovers in the near future.

A truely fantastic company!

Cut into a main point, this company is the MOST professional and responsive movers that I have ever used out of four companies.
First, I received a professional quote and order over the phone.
Second, A team of 2 young people arrived on time, straight to work no waste time. ZERO damage and/or even tiny scratches on any items.
Third, Search the best way to load items and wrap etc. They were efficient disassembling and reassembling our beds.
Overall, excellent service and great people to deal with. We highly recommend them in Hamilton!

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED - BUYER BEWARE - DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY

***DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY*** The first truck arrived 45 minutes late and the second truck arrived an hour late due to a truck breakdown. No markings on the beat up trucks. The arrangements that were clearly stated with Justin in sales was to move our 3 storage units of household goods and furniture . We sent Justin an email to confirm all the information that we had discussed regarding our requirements for our move. They sent two 26 foot trucks and four men although the original agreement was for three men. The fourth man was sent because of a truck breakdown. The job was assigned 12 hours. It took the drivers over six hours to load the two trucks with only half of our goods. The plan was for each truck to be loaded and then they make the 30 minute drive to our new home, then unload and go back and reload in the 12 hours . Instead it took two hours to drive to our home. The drivers could not be reached although we called the office numerous times and no one knew where the movers were. When the driver arrived he claimed that the truck broke down on the highway. We were then told that we needed to order another truck which was not part of our agreement. I called Justin and he refused to help, he suggested that we pay $200 for another truck and two movers at $100/hr each. When I told him this was NOT part of our agreement he insisted that we had too much stuff although he was told numerous times that we had three storage units of household items to be moved. When I called and tried to get things resolved he kept hanging up on me or disconnecting us (my hubby and I) more then eight times. He was rude, ignorant and unprofessional. We relied on his professionalism and he failed. We are now looking at hiring another moving company to have the rest of our goods moved at our expense. The movers themselves did a great job, friendly and courteous and worked hard. Now we not only have to rent another truck for our third unit we now have been charged storages fees of $428 for the third unit. Plus this corrupt company did not reduce the $99 deposit that they requested, this amount was not noted on our bill and through the anger and frustration with having to deal with these people we should have decreased this amount. Our frustration is incredible. WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY, we will never use this company ever again. I wish I could give them a triple minus review. ** UPDATE ** At the bottom of my review was a message from someone who asked that I contact him at 1888-6863070, well when I dialed this number I got a message stating that this number cannot be completed as dialed. I've tried numerous times and received the same message.

Horrible experience! Don't Recommend!

Terrible experience! I advise against this company if you value your items, your money, and your energies. They showed up two hours late without an explanation. Their crew manager was rude and very abrupt. They took long breaks way too often and charged me for break time. They broke some equipment and refused to take responsibility, and they were dishonest when it came to the bill. If you think that's it, you're wrong; it's impossible to reach them over the phone because they hang up on you. When you do reach them, they provide laconic, contradicting answers or simply don't tell the truth. And they definitely value the dollar more than the client. Other than my initial phone call to book the move, dealing with them was difficult, stressful and exhausting. I will never use their services again.

Deeply Disappointed

I am truly confused by the amazing reviews on this company. The service I received was not at all what I read in all the reviews before I decided to choose them as my moving company. The employees they sent did not appear to have much experience moving furniture, nor did they work efficiently in regards to using their time appropriately. On multiple occasions throughout the day (my max 6 hour move took 10 hours) we observed them standing around and one of the three always appeared to be doing nothing while the other two worked (this happened in a rotating fashion). My husband had to step in several times to encourage the movers to pick items up and actually put them in the moving truck. My husband even ended up fully coaching the workers through the entire move-in process (I.e. telling them to grab items and bring them in, teaching them how to move bulkier furniture, teaching them how to place items in way that would still allow space to continue working in). It was ridiculous and yet, there’s more. As they brought items inside I was to show them what rooms certain things went to; however, multiple items they just placed wherever they felt, leaving me to have to continue moving boxes and furniture to different places of the house after the fact. Let me not forget to mention how they packed the truck. Initially they were doing a good job of using the space wisely. But after half the truck was packed, then began to pack items loosely and in awkward places which left at least 15% of the packable space misused. This then lead to them telling us that there was no space for our few remaining items and they would need to make a second trip (the distance to the new house is 30 minutes, meaning an extra 1.5 hours of travel time for just a few items. On top of that, they took much longer to travel to and from, my husband went with them to pick up the second load and instead of staying with him on the highway they got off at a different exit taking even longer to get to the house. Not to mention they arrived at 9:15 am when schedule for 10am throwing off our time line. And when we addressed our concerns early on during the moving process the “manager” of the group informed us it was his “first day” and explained that he couldn’t give us much feedback/information due to this. Before leaving the old house, I did a check and noted a mirror and a tv they failed to take to the truck. Fast forward to the move being completed and I have items missing, even parts for my sons bunk bed that now leaves it unsafe for him to sleep in because it can’t be properly built. I did contact customer support after the fact and the lady was apologetic and reassuring and informed me she would speak with management and get back to me, but I’m still waiting to hear back. They wanted me to pay via etransfer, which I wasn’t informed of beforehand. When I did etransfer it the finance department was able to follow up with me instantly and called me back when it didn’t come through within less than ten minutes. They initially told me they didn’t think I could get a receipt but did end up sending me one in the end. I will be contacting them diligently to get some money back because I feel complete taken advantage of and mistreated. These full star reviews are unbelievable to me now. I will never use this company again and will never recommend them to anyone. I will be leaving my review on multiple sites to get the message out. It’s not fair to pay for a service and not receive adequate treatment.

Moving to Richmond Hill

We recently moved from Vaughan to Richmond Hill and these guys had our everything packed up, moved to my new house and unpacked in a matter of hours. Got the job done in record time, no damages, great memory for where things go (which rooms etc), and great attitudes. We’re truly grateful.

Moving

Great experience today with Terry and Alexander moving my furniture! We've trusted these guys to get our fragile equipment moved too! Thanks for your hard work and making it seem effortless. No job has been too big nor too small. Can't recommend them higher.

Made my day!

Had a fantastic moving experience on the weekend, thanks a lot to the guys at Get Movers. They showed up right on time, they were friendly and professional, they were efficient but also really careful with my stuff. I'm always nervous using moving companies, but these 3 made movers has done such an amazing job. They even took apart my furniture and put it back together in my new place! I would def use them again.

Excellent service!

The boys were amazing at their job. In our search we found GetMovers, and THANK GOD for that. They were professional, quick, safe and took care of the huge pool table we were moving. They made the whole experience of moving pain free. I can say these guys were the best. Look no further!
