Our forever home is 120 years old. It has a basement which reflect that amazing age. And some of the problems you would associate with over a century of improvements and alterations.
I called Joey a few weeks ago, looking for a company I can form a relationship with. Work in the basement will be an ongoing thing, and Joey totally gets it.
He has been attentive and sensitive to the age of our home, and has listened to what we want to achieve. And he is working hard to fulfil the overly-detailed requests I have been making.
Phase 1 took place on Monday, when his team of plumbers arrived to untangle and rationalise the rats' nest of pipes, shut-off valves and nonsensical pipe runs we have.
Everyone turned up at 10am (Thank you for understanding that not everyone greets the dawn!) and everything was finished by 1:30 the same afternoon. The guys were polite, eager to make my simplified plumbing dream come true, and completely, 100% perfect when it came to mask-wearing and keeping a 6' distance.
When I did the walkthrough at the end of the job, I was astonished. I know reviews can be effusive sometimes and it seems fake. I am so sincere about this.:
The job was done so well, I was almost in tears!
All the excess pipe was gone;
the pipes had been upsized as I asked;
sane pipe runs went directly and efficiently to where they needed to go;
everything is now clearly labeled;
we have a manifold which would make a stone weep with joy;
my basement was left clean - no bits of pipe, or fittings or trash anywhere to be seen.
And the guys were as enthusiastic to show me the sane plumbing as I was to see it!
I am sure that the rest of the work we want done will be completed to the exacting and pleasing standard as the plumbing, and I am looking forward to having a good working relationship with Magnolia Construction for many years to come!
