Reform Contracting

Poor workmanship and several hiccups throughout. Fence was leaning on day one and likely won't make it through a single season.

Some of the issues:
-Several delays in starting
-Initial height not in line with city reqs
-Reworking some mistake using same boards causing redundant nail holes
-Nails are leaking a black residue
-Poorly aligned posts
-Left nails and other sharp metal objects in the yard after completion

Given that I'm a newbie when it comes to this project, I've used HomeStars for and was under the impression that contractors were vetted.

Hugely disappointed and on the lookout for someone to fix this mess, though unlikely at this time of year.

Redesign - man cave, bar, bedrooms, laundry room and new flooring and tile. I was best satisfied with the work.

We hired this company for renovation of our living room doing the flooring. The finished product was beyond our expectations and we are extremely pleased with the customer service.

They were very professional and always on time to deliver the best work needed. Major renovations to my basement was done and i’m very pleased with the outcome. Very friendly gentlemen as well. Would highly recommend them to others.

My experience has been very devastating! Company suggested a power wash, a light sanding, sealant on 10 year old deck. At same time replace 4 post on fence. I’ll deal with fence sand the end of this complaint. I was assured I would be be 100% satisfied and their work was covered with a 1 year warranty. I have never received an invoice. I only received an estimate citing their GST number. Work is absolutely unacceptable from a professional service company. Picture with the lights on the deck is what
the deck looked like before work was started. Deck is completely ruined!
The prep work and the workmanship are not what you would expect from
a company, claiming to do this type of work all the time! No professional
explanation was ever explained to me why the deck turned out the way
it did. Stating the poor results were due to the products he used but
mostly the age of the wood. When I asked what products he used he
could not remember; and that was only a week later! This has been a
very negative experience and faulty representation by a company who
engages in a deceptive and unconscionable practice! I feel my consumer
rights have been violated and therefore I requested a refund $1,100.00
which was the deposit requested; then but submitting an invoice for work
done on the fence. Agreed verbally, only to deny ever agreeing a few days
later by email. No resolution and they have not responded to my
request. Asked for their location address and was told it is on their
website. Went to that address and it is not their location! Instead it is M&M Foods.

When we discussed replacing the 4 posts on the fence I asked if they would be contacting locates. I was told that yes they would be responsible for the call to locates. A week before the job was to start I noticed locates had not been out to mark the property. In particular the gas line which I knew was close to my property line. I contacted him and he said he had called and if they were not out before work was to start they would start on the deck first. Locates were never called! He explained to me that he was going to insert metal post supports and use existing post. This was just as good as replacing posts and the fence would be much stronger. I agreed.The workmanship, like the deck, is not what one would expect from a service professional. The pictures attached will speak of their workmanship. I soon realized, but too late, locates were never called because he did not have any intention of not digging up the old posts. Work was not completed and he told me he would return August 30th at 12 noon to complete the work and add boards to the bottom of the fence. He, in fact, recommend replacing 1 board at the bottom of the fence for an additional cost of $100.00. The board he used was not even a new board! On August 29th he informing me that due to the weather they would not be out to complete the job. According to the weather report on August 30th it was a beautiful day of 23 degrees and sunny. Unfortunately I took sick and was in emergency and was not able to supervise their work on the fence nor the deck.

They completed the job under budget and sooner than planned. Very happy with the quality of the deck. Very easy people to deal with as well

The Reform team always put me first through the build. I decided on a design change part way through and The Reform team was easy to work with and they made it happen. I went with a custom build with glass railings and it came out perfect! Great job guys!

I hired Reform Contracting to rebuild my deck that was falling apart. They did a fantastic job. The guys were very professional and completed everything in a timely manner. Next I may hire them to upgrade my windows, they do everything.
