AM Renos Inc.

I hired AM Renos to complete the flooring and stair case for my basement. He did not complete the flooring and stair case efficiently and left several tasks including caulking, painiting, shoe moulding, and finishing incomplete.

On the first day, they raised the cost of the project by $1200 for additional work to cover the edges around the stair case. They took 4 days to complete the staircase and basement flooring. They then mentioned that he would need an additional day to complete the finishing of the stair case and to provide them additional $1200 to complete the work. I agreed to it trusting that they will do an efficient job. They again left the work incomplete promising that they will come back to complete the work. I have been texting/calling them, but there hasn't been any reponse.

The cost of competing the work was increased from $3500 to $6500 and even then the work was left incomplete.

I rate AM Renos as a highly unethical contractor who will take the payment from clients, but will leave the work unfinished/incomplete.

Ayaz neither has the experience or the business ethics to run a contracting business.

These two guys are inexperienced, rude and do poor quality work! First off, they cut material in your home which causes dust to go EVERYWHERE. The laminate and baseboard installation was poor. There are gaps, crooked and jagged cutting on both baseboards and laminate. They also managed to damage walls/doors. A price was quoted for a certain square footage and they did not complete the job and insisted they were done and did not need to do a closet although it was a part of the job as discussed. They argued with me and called me “A Joke” but finally did the job. Upon completing the terribly done job, they did not clean up and left their trash (Gaterode/Tim Hortons) cups everywhere. I always insist on giving small businesses especially young owners opportunities but these guys were not worth it.

Every home owners dream. Alex and his crew arrived on site on time and completed installing of 1300 sq. ft. of underlayment and vinyl flooring in a day. They cleaned up the area and removed garbage to garage. Alex will be returning to install my baseboards once I have all doors and casings installed by another contractor as they do not hang doors. I am truly satisfied with their workmanship and professionalism. What a pleasure doing business with Alex and his crew. I will post pictures of the job once the doors have been installed and Alex and his crew install baseboard trim.
