We were recommended this business by a family member so we went with their team to finish our basement.

They have been promising for close to ONE WHOLE YEAR to replace our shower head which broke after 1 week of use (we had my mother in law over so I went to the basement for my showers to let her have the upstairs washroom, which is how we found out it was faulty). This is the last straw that prompted this review. My wife has had to go back and forth with Ioana for months to even get a set date for replacement which they of course never showed up to.

Work did not begin until at least 4 weeks after the agreed upon date. Afterwards they kept making excuse after excuse for more delays (at least 2 more full months of delays on what was supposed to be a 5 week project. I don't care that this is seen as normal in contract work, it is not acceptable.

The grout in our laundry room keeps cracking because they had not planned the underflooring properly. They replaced it once but it took about a month for it to crack again.

I could go on but the 2 stars should suffice

The team at DDRI did a fenomenal work with our home renovations , from main contact ioana that walked us true the process helped us choose finishes ,provided options and advice for the best selection to Luis the site supervisor and the create or of the beautiful final product .
We are very satisfied and happy with the outcome and we will defenetly recommend DDRI to all our friend and family for all renovations needs .

Dynamic Design Renovations Inc. NOT RECMMENDED. We hired Dynamic Design Renovations Inc (DDRI) in June 2023 to install a neo-angle shower stall kit and surrounding tile walls for $7,000. Apart from the decent tilework, the shower stall installation work was sloppy and unprofessional.

The first indication of faulty workmanship was that the shower door wouldnt close. We only found that out after allowing two days for the grouting sealant to dry. By that time, DDRI was long gone. The reason the door wouldnt close was two-fold (see pictures). First, DDRI installed the wrong hinges (meant for a rectangular shower; ours is neo-angle). Second, DDRI installed one glass wall crooked on the base, which left a 1-inch vertical gap between the wall and the shower door, allowing water to spray out during showers. They also failed to secure the upper mounding brackets linking the glass walls, so the walls were unstable. They also left shattered glass scattered on our laundry room floor (see pictures) from the demolition of the old shower but didnt return to clean it up. A week later they did provide us with a cleaning lady for a half-day, but that was after wed cleaned up their mess.

We notified DDRI of the faulty installation immediately, and they promised to come back to fix it. They never showed up. Literally dozens of times (all documented), they rescheduled the visit or simply were a NO-SHOW for appointments while we waited around for them to arrive. A year later (it is now June 1st 2024) they still havent returned.
They e-transferred a $1000 rebate in late summer 2023 to partially compensate for the delays. Then, after several more months of waiting for them to return to effect repairs, they offered another $2000 rebate. That was October 2023, and as of June 2024 we STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PROMISED REBATE despite repeated promises from the owners to send the money (Note: back in the fall of 2023, they provided me with a $1,500 cheque, but CIBC bounced it due to insufficient funds).

Because we couldnt use the shower without water spraying all over the bathroom floor, I took our case to the Better Business Bureau. DDRI said they would comply, but nothing changed. They still never showed up to make the required repairs. The BBB closed the case unresolved.
The bathroom supply retailer in Oakville who recommended DDRI has stopped endorsing them due to similar complaints from customers.

We ended up hiring a different, reputable contractor for $400 to come in and clean up the mess that DDRI left us with. Everything is fine now, but I am out the additional $400 and the $2,000 promised rebate that never materialized. I have a full audit trail of text messages to back up my story.

Long story short, that was June 2023 and today (June 1, 2024) DDRI still have not shown up and they still havent made good on their promise of the $2,000 compensation rebate.

I would not recommend DDRI to anyone.

We have hired ioana and her team at Dynamic Design rneovations inc to do get done thw renovations of our home that included kitchen , flooring, 3 bathrooms and basement renovations . From the begining ioana went above and beyod with her design and ideas and what we appreciate about her was she listen to us and what was our vision and made it come to life. We will also liek to thank Luis and the renovation team for the wonderful and quality craftmenship , the atencion to details blow our minds and as well listening and communicating with us true the project .

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a complete renovation of my kitchen and two full baths, and I am beyond thrilled with the outcome. Decided to entrust Iona and Luis with the renovation of our master bathroom in anticipation of our first child. Initially, our experience with them was promising. They seemed attentive, responsive, and eager to deliver exceptional results. However, our optimism quickly waned as the project progressed and it became evident that the quality of work and finishes fell short of our expectations. The attention to detail we had hoped for was sorely lacking, and the overall craftsmanship left much to be desired. Despite expressing our concern, they failed to address these deficiencies adequately.

Furthermore, our frustrations were compounded by their failure to honor their warranty agreement. When we attempted to invoke the warranty to rectify the substandard workmanship, we were met with excuses and delays. Despite multiple promises to revisit our home on a WEEKLY basis and address the outstanding issues, they consistently failed to follow through, citing a myriad of reasons each time.

The lack of accountability and professionalism displayed by Iona and Luis throughout this ordeal has been deeply disappointing. What began as a hopeful endeavor to enhance our living space has culminated in frustration and dissatisfaction. Regrettably, we cannot recommend Iona and Luis to others seeking reliable and quality renovation services. We urge others to exercise caution before engaging their services.

Ioana and Luis turned my garage to an awesome working areas where I would create positive energy for treating my clients. Their skills and transparency really makes my dream come true.
