TL:DR C&X Construction is the best value out there. The work is fantastic. The crew is helpful, kind, and hard-working. C&X Construction prioritizes safety, and quality. They want their work to last. We most definitely recommend C&X Construction.

During one particularly bad spring storm, the sewer main backed up and the pressure release was our basement. The insurance company provided us with their contractor, but after they bungled the cleanup, we thought it might be prudent to find our own contractor. We had a few quotes, and some seemed ridiculously expensive, while other contractors seemed uninterested, as if they were going through the motions.

Sam from C&X Construction, seemed completely different. After I sent in my request for a quote via homestars, I promptly got a call from Sam. We set up a meeting and he was on time. He asked a lot of questions and really listened to us and what we wanted to achieve. When he spoke, he was earnest and spoke to both me and my wife as though we were all equal partners in the process. Sam submitted a quote that was more than reasonable. We committed to C&X and set up a date for them to begin the renovations.

We have three small children and we were forced to remain in the house during the renovations. Sam took great care in ensuring there would be little disruption to our daily lives, and that our children were protected from dust, debris, and any dangers that come with such all-encompassing construction.

Sam and his crew work hard. They are committed to doing good quality work. If something isnt quite right, Sam always takes the time to walk you through whatever the hang-up might be, and more often than not, provides a couple of options to completing the work.

Every night, Sam and his crew cleaned. They vacuumed and mopped, not only to protect the areas that were not being renovated, but to protect our family.

Because the work started while covid shortages and raw material costs were soaring, we had many concerns about cost overruns and delays due to a lack of materials. We had few problems in this area. This is purely a testament to Sams connections. He knows everyone, and knows where and how to get whatever he needs to complete a job.

In all, we ended up renovating not only the basement, but also the three other bathrooms in the house. All of this was completed because of Sams dogged determination, skill, and connections.
Sam is a master contractor. He is incredibly knowledgeable, extremely kind, and very hard working.

Sam and his crew were awesome! I love my new upstairs bathroom, and the workmanship is excellent. The guys also cleaned up every evening before they left which was very considerate! Overall, I would highly recommend C&X since you will get excellent results at good prices with a trustworthy company!

Sam and his team are great! They stayed on budget and were able to accommodate multiple add ons to the project but still stuck to the original timeline (6 weeks). We renovated our ensuite bath (including bumping out the overall footprint by 2 feet and adding heated flooring), our second floor bathroom (and adding heated flooring), reconfiguring 2 bedrooms and adding closets in each, removal of popcorn ceiling in both bedrooms, painting our hallway on the main floor, removal of popcorn ceiling in the hallway and installing pot lights, removal of popcorn ceiling and install of pot lights in living room, creating a doorway/opening between living room and kitchen, renovating our powder room on the main floor, and redoing our entryway closet.

We will absolutely be using Sam again in the future and we would highly recommend C&X. Thank you for all your work Sam, we love the final outcome!!

We recently had a full primary bathroom renovation done in our home by C&X Construction and it turned out amazing!!! We love it. Sam and his crew were wonderful! Here are the skills that stood out for us: punctuality, attention to detail, extremely competent construction skills, knowledgeable consultation with us, stayed on quote target, cleaned up thoroughly each day, and communicated regularly. Sam and his team were great to work with for our recent basement renovation including laundry room and bathroom. He was able to work through our plan and make suggestions that really worked with our design and budget. Sam and his team were hard working and always ensures the space was tidy when they left. I would definitely recommend hiring them and would work with them again.

C&X recently did complete renovation of 3 washrooms, powder room and the laundry room. This included total gutting of the bathroom followed by complete re-build for a shower room, including insulation, drywall, reconfiguring drain system, plumbing and venting, tiling of the walls and floor followed by the installation of all bathroom fixtures. Sam and his team were very friendly and professional and consulted us on all aspects of the project including tile layout and placement of bathroom fixtures.
We have no reservations about recommending Sam and his team whose attributes also include attention to every detail in the project as well as making recommendations. The work started on schedule and was completed on timely basis. Sam is an honest guy and works tirelessly for 10 hrs. everyday without taking any break and would treat your house as his own. All the washrooms look amazing and for our other projects, Sam is the guy.

We had a great experience with C&X Construction (smoothed popcorn ceilings and painted whole house, switched some doors and electrical, hooked up water line to fridge). They provided accurate estimates, ongoing communication throughout planning and execution of our renos, were flexible and accommodating with small changes or addins, and kept the project on time knowing our timelines were tight with getting these Renos done prior to moving in. They were friendly, professional, hardworking, and cleaned up well afterwards. We are very happy with our renos!

Fantastic Reno. Sam is very skilled and a great manager. He communicates well and is very efficient and precise. The job was done in 6 week! I am very happy with all his work. The wood flooring, tiling, light installation, appliance installation, kitchen cabinets and painting are very well done, professional and affordable.
