Ontario Green Savings

Fast and as expected. Courteous installers and helped me set up my smart thermostat on my phone and Google home, which is great! They check to be sure you're satisfied, but not so often that they pester.

The techs were curious and clean. They explained the work that was going to be done. When they were finished, they cleaned everything up. They did the job in the amount of time they specified.

Axel, my rep, was able to help me with all new appliances required. He has saved me money and the work was done on time and very efficiently.
Unfortunately the government program for energy retrofits had been cancelled by the time the work was done but otherwise it was a great experience.

I talked to the sales person and the installers about the BTU’s that the furnace would produce. They installed an 80000btu furnace. They assured me it would do the job. But we were cold this winter. The furnace never heated up the house unless it was very mild. This furnace never stopped running. My propane bill was far too high. I am not saving any money. They might as well come and remove the furnace. I am not happy.

I tried to cancel the service as there have been no savings in my water or hydro as promised due to the thermostat they also installed.
The salesperson came after 8 o'clock at night and spent an hour and a half explaining the product. When I asked if I could think about it overnight he pushed that they were really busy and I would lose the free installation as well as other "perks". What the salesperson told me versus the reality of the service and the products were two completely different things. Ontario Green Savings was also supposed to contact me regarding cost savings at 3 months and again at 6 months. No one called. I called them.
When I tried calling to cancel the service they said the only option was to buy it out as I had signed a contract (which was also misrepresented by the salesperson). The cost of the unit over 5 years is $9500+. Certainly not worth it in comparison to other filtration systems. This is not a reputable company and their service and sales department are definitely questionable and not above board. I would never recommend others to seek out any services or products from Ontario Green Savings. When they contact you...and they DO call YOU first don't let them in your house.

We wanted a tankless HW heater for awhile but plumbing, natural gas and electrical hookups all together made the prospect a bit of a barrier to entry. This company comes along and not only does all three in shot, but also removes and returns the old rental tank and gives us a receipt. We also cancelled our gas middleman wholesaler and went direct to Enbridge. Altogether, we figure will save $1,000.00 per year. There are other factors that weighed heavily in our favour to do this...too many to list here. Also, the hot water is available much sooner than some would lead you to believe...I have absolutely NOT noticed any delays. I can also finally fill my huge Roman bathtub at once! Tanked heaters are so 70s.

Not an honest company. Purchased with a 60 month payment plan based on the "cost neutral program" which guarantees that your savings will pay for the payments on the equipment. Not true. From the first installation, nothing went according to plan and installations were done against building, electrical, and fire code. Sales rep was non-reachable past three months (though he did try to help during that time). Phone calls with other staff were not responded to for months (past the 10 day buyer's remorse period). Equipment still not working properly. They do not honor the "cost neutral program" that they advertised. They also did not perform the 90-day energy audit as written in the contract. When queried, their response was to send me a Waiver of Liability with $15 off per month for one piece of equipment without further discussion of the audit or the "cost neutral program". Stay away from this company. I am unfortunately locked in for 5 years and will be paying an astounding $16,020 at the end of this mistake.

I received a call from them for an energy assessment and I booked an appointment since my water tank was 20 years old. They showed up the next day and performed an in home full energy assessment and made some recommendations.

They were friendly and were not trying to sell anything and were just looking to qualify us for some of their programs. We agreed to go ahead and got a tankless water heater installed on their cost neutral program.

Saved us approximately $40 per month after payments and we are happy with the system.

Addison is great to work with, knows his stuff, and will do as little or as much as you need. I'm pretty techy but it was very good to have him buy and install certain things like the wiring for doorbell and light switches. I will keep using him as I expand our smart home capabilities.
