We hired Lui after a bad experience with another contractor. He is a very nice person who had great reviews here and seemed knowledgable. We had high hopes that he could renovate our system to a decent quality.

To be fair, our system was quite poorly installed, so there were limitations to what could be done without starting over. That said, the major problems we encountered with Lui were completely under his control.

1. Being accessible. Repeatedly for one reason or another, scheduled work was put off, sometimes for weeks. Only when we called to ask if/when they were coming or for a recommended referral was it ever rescheduled. As I write, it has been over a month since we were told they were coming "next Wednesday" to change a few sprinkler heads. In that time, we've had three additional quotes, chosen a new provider and had work done.

2. The BIG issue - quality of workmanship. Don't go near this company if sloppy work bothers you. The photos attached show what we were left with:
- Exposed wires on the lawn.
- Improperly seated control boxes, sitting so high in the lawn the mower hits them.
- Wires stripped from the control box left hanging all over the place.
- Risers from replaced sprinklers left sticking out of the ground.
We kept hoping the job would be tidied up at the end...no such luck.

Now, if you've read this far, you can expect the contractor to have left a response to this review. It'll probably seek to discredit what's written here, to blame it on the previous contractor or us homeowners for having high expectations. It might even suggest he's done us a favour somehow. But I stress the photos are only of the work done by PT Sprinklers - not of the prior system, which was already poor. Judge for yourself if you want your yard to be littered with the kind of mess in the photos.

We thought hard before posting this review. We know it can impact a business. But after our unfortunate experience of spending good money after bad, we can't in good conscience let anyone else make the same mistake.
