Kitchen & Bath Inc. was assigned to renovate kitchen and master bath in June 2015 for my house. They started work as per schedule but could not finish the assignment in middle of August as per their commitment. The work dragged till first week of September 2015. Even then they could not finish all outstanding work, took the final payment saying that rest of the work will be done next week and never came back to finish all outstanding work.
Some of the materials supplied were even not to their own specs and had to be replaced or modified at site. They indicated that manufactured materials supplied by them have lifetime warranty and labour has one year warranty. Even before six months passed some of the cabinet doors supplied by them and the caulking between kitchen counter top and backsplash cracked. They were informed about these defects and some other problems and asked them to replace/ fix them. After initial inaction, eventually they replaced the cracked cabinet doors and replaced the caulking in September 2016.
They need to ensure materials supplied are of superior quality, good workmanship/ supervision/ communication, no delay, put everything in black and white in agreement (do not accept verbal assurance otherwise be ready for increase cost).
