Noonan Holm Custom Builders

1- I am Mohammed Ghafour and my wife had a contract with Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. for our kitchen renovation at our house 133 McSweeney Cres., Ajax ON l1T 4C 8 on March 2018 by $22000.00.
2- Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. asked for an advance payment of $5000.00 before starting any work in my house which was paid on March 26, 2018.
3- Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc, removed the existing old kitchen cabinets and completed the kitchen dry walls and closed an opening between the living and family rooms and did little electrical wiring work and asked for the second payment of $5000.00 which was paid on on April 4, 2018 .
4- Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. broke and removed parts of the existing kitchen concrete floor and house entrance concrete floor (which was a major mistake as the whole concrete floors were not removed).
5-Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. cast the new concrete floors on the remaining parts of the kitchen and entrance concrete floors which became very much high compared with the required levels supposed to be in the living and family rooms levels after getting the hard wood installed.
6- It seemed that Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. realized their major mistakes after they wrongly cast the kitchen and home entrance concrete floors on April 13, 2018. Therefore Noonan-Holm Custom Builders asked for the third payment of $7000.00 and insisted to have it on that day April 13, 2018 stating that they placed the order for kitchen cabinets with IKEA and they should pay for these cabinets before they come after 4 days. Therefore we had believed that story and went to the bank and withdrew the money and when we came back home we found Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc staff were waiting outside our house and as soon as we paid them the $7000.00 they run away.
7- After Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. took the total amounts of money of $17000.00 and run away we entered our house and found out that Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. took with them all their belongings such as tool box, ladder and other stuff and left nothing of them at our house which means they were planning for it and they were waiting just to complete receiving the total amount of money $17000.00.
8- On April 14 2018, I communicated with Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. and I discussed with them the mistakes done in the kitchen and house entrance concrete floor levels which they have to be corrected. Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. refused to come to do any work in my house and they sent me a message with the person who introduced them to us stating that they quit and will never come to work in my house again. I asked them in writing to pay me back at least $14000.00 they just ignored my letter.
9- Two contractors were invited to evaluate and to give me an estimate for the value of the actual and correct work done by Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. which was estimated by them for only $2000.00.
10- I hired another contractor who broke, removed the house entrance wrongly concrete cast floor and cast it again. Moreover the wrongly done dry walls and electrical works were also completely repeated by another contractor.
11- I hired a contractor to install the hard wood in the living and family room who faced a major problem in matching the levels of the high level of the kitchen floor and the low levels of the living and family rooms. This contractor was very smart one, who kept thinking and thinking for some time to find out a suitable solution for the big differences between these levels and at the end he came up with an acceptable solution and accordingly we agreed to proceed with the hard wood work installation and got it completed.
12-I raised an official case of a small claim against Noonan-Holm Custom Builders in Oshawa Court and wined the case by $18000.00 as per the attached court order, but the representative of Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. had neither attended the court nor paid the money.
13 Finally my sincere advice to all the people who are dealing with Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. are required to find out another company to do their required work, simply as Noonan-Holm Custom Builders Inc. can not be trusted at all and they are not professional at all.

Kevin Holm and his crew were great. They showed up when they said they would. They kept the house as clean as possible. They did an amazing job on three bathrooms, really making an effort to make sure that we always had one to use. Kevin offered suggestions, and went above and beyond what we had contracted for him to do.

If I had a concern, it is that he was sometimes slower on responding to communications than I would have liked. We were hoping for a shopping list at the very beginning. That would have helped.

That being said, the finished product is far beyond our best hopes. There is no question I would bring back Noonan Holm. We have already started talking about a kitchen.
