When we purchased our small home in 2022 we knew we had to renovate. The previous landlords had rented out the space and it was...repulsive. There was dog urine stained through the carpets and even laminate. The side entrance was littered with feces and just about every baseboard was chewed through including part of the stairs. The market was tough and we knew we just had to buy something; so we did.
It's nerve racking to find a contractor. You hear stories of them disappearing for weeks at a time, not picking up your calls, or simply being a pain in the butt to work with. Not to mention going over budget, or shoddy finishes, or rushed work...
Steve was a delight to work with. He was honest about what to expect with the delays on appliances and finishes, gave a step by step of when his trades would be showing up, and made sure we made choices we knew we were going to be happy with even though it would have required rework.
We rebuilt the whole 1st floor and 3 bathrooms, removed stucco, patched and painted the whole house. Put down fresh vinyl throughout. Kitchen quartz, cabinets, built out an island and routed water, electrical, valence lights and pot lights. New trims, toilets, fixtures, vanities...
We finished in 4 months from prep to finish.
We had one issue come up though...the 1st set of mud and painters that Steve hired made a total mess of the place and did some shoddy work. Steve let them go, absorbed the cost, and brought in another crew to make it right.
Our family is very happy with our home. It really sparks joy for my wife and I. Thank you Steve!
