Once hired, what impressed me further was his forensic and diagnostic techniques as well as his approach to future construction so that problems would not arise in the future. David then assures the quality of his work with his own guarantee, but also that of a third-party insurer. One of my mid-project decisions involved a shift from large tiles to what amounted to a thousand hand-cuts of glass tile. Not a peep of complaint or reduction of quality workmanship in the endless constancy of cutting and setting, which extended the duration of the job measurably. Indeed, the quality rose with the complexity. He appreciates new challenges but will tell you clearly when something is not possible or isn't something he is comfortable attempting. If he isn't comfortable with it, then no one else should be.
