Elite Appliance Service – Hamilton

10/10-stars. Work Order #: 529724. My experience with Elite Appliance has been fantastic. I had a 4-yr old LG Over-The-Range microwave, purchased from Costco in late-2019 with a 5-yr extended warranty, which stopped working in late November, by no longer heating anything. After calling the extended warranty insurance company and logging my issue, my service was referred to Elite Appliance for the repair. I was contacted by Elite Appliance less than 24-hrs later, and a service was scheduled for the following day. The technician, Wes, arrived a few minutes early for the service appointment, which was very much appreciated. Wes was very polite and obviously well experienced, as he was efficiently able to diagnose the issue very quickly: a faulty magnetron. He explained the following process very well: that he would write up the recommended repair, submit to the warranty insurance company for approval, once approved the replacement part would be ordered, and once the part was received (which would take approximately 1-wk) another service appointment would be scheduled. Wes also advised that he would recommend that a second technician was required for the repair, to assist uninstalling and dismounting the microwave. I was contacted 1-wk later to schedule the repair, which I was able to book around my availability. Disappointingly, the warranty insurance company denied the request for a second technician, and I had to dismount the microwave myself to have it serviceable prior to the technician's arrival. I was fortunate to have Wes as the returning technician to complete the repair. He was once again very polite and demonstrated his skills by completing the repair quickly, including testing the microwave's heating functionality, successfully. All in all, a great experience with Elite Appliance. Thank you.
