Capable Group - Basement Renovation & Finishing Company

After deciding to finish our basement, we obtained a number of quotes from different contractors, including Yan, who provided a very competitive quote for the job. While not the absolute lowest quote, it was fully detailed which gave us more confidence in their ability to finish the job without unforeseen change orders, and the design process involving Ludmila was a real value add for us.

Ludmila was fantastic and came out to do full measurements of the basement and provided good advice as to layout in order to maximize our usable space and the 2D plans and 3D layouts allowed us to visualize the final space and make a few changes prior to construction.

Once the job began, Michael was our project manager and he was also very professional, keeping us informed of progress and upcoming schedules and he was very responsive to questions from us and the tradesmen on site. As promised, the construction team was here for 12 hours a day, six days a week and we found all of the tradesmen to be very professional, polite and willing to answer any questions we might have. There were a couple of minor hiccups and change orders during the process and the hiccups were dealt with within the contract price and the change orders were priced fairly and incorporated without problems.

The full job was completed within 3 weeks, a few days ahead of schedule. Clean-up was thorough and the few items on the punch list were addressed immediately. We'd be more than happy to recommend and work with Yan, Ludmila, Michael and the Capable team again!
