Complete home painting, 1800 sq ft 3 bedrooms, kitchen, foyer, living room, dining room, main bath and two powder rooms.

After a review of three quotes that were very comparable in price, I selected Smart Finishes due to Lukas knowledge and details on how to paint over natural pine wood trim with an old coat of urethane. Smart Finishes did not disappoint, prior to the work they provided a signed written job description outlining the scope of work, timeline and cost. This was crucial as to avoid any confusion or omissions of what was discussed.

Protective coverings were placed on the floors, cabinets and furniture. A dustless sander and air extraction equipment was used to minimize the amount of dust generated during the preparation work. This was beneficial in keeping the furniture and rooms as clean as possible. Numerous holes were patched and sanded - particular attention was given to the bottom pine wood sill on the bay window were a vinyl sheet was removed. The prep work for this area was done in a meticulous manner and the final paint finish was exceptional. Multiple coats were used on both Trim and walls to exhibit a smooth, even and complete coverage of the paint finish.

These two professional painters demonstrated a superior skill and dedication to pride of workmanship that is greatly appreciated. Friendly, professional and courteous manner in all aspects of their work. Calling me during the job and confirming some aspects of the work shows a dedication to customer satisfaction that is rarely found in this industry.

I was looking for someone to renovate my basement and refresh kitchen cabinets and some other small touch ups/fixes around the house. I’ve asked around and my colleague at work recommended SmartFinishes (they did house painting for him). I’ve never heard of them before so checked the website and read reviews and decided to give it a try. I wanted the job to be done before my family arrival from abroad so it was time sensitive for me. Lukas has promised to have it done in time. As the work went along, he got caught up with other projects and I was pretty sure he’s not gonna be able to finish on time. I started to really worry whether it was a right choice, but Lukas and his team really step up and delivered as promised. He advised on the colours/paint as well and kitchen cabinets, basement look just fabulous! I got so many compliments from my family and friends (many assumed I have a brand new cabinets:). Smart Finishes did a beautiful job refinishing my kitchen and bathroom vanity cabinets!! They color matched the paint to coordinate with my existing trim work and worked the project around my work schedule. They took great pains to minimize the dust mess and cleaned up afterwards. They always arrived on time, communicated via text and phone, and were very professional. Everyone who has seen my kitchen thinks I bought all new cabinets!! I would recommend this company to anyone wanting a quality refinishing job!

I had Smart Finishes paint a rental unit for me. Painters were pretty quick and clean. They used drop sheets and white paper on floors. They communicated with me when they came across something they were unsure of. Paint job of high quality and I am very satisfied with whole process. Highly recommend.

Smart finishes took over after we fired previous painting crew as they lacked experience and were unprofessional. Lukas came in for a quote and immediately showed us drywall issues not addressed by previous painters. On pictures you can see how many drywall deficiencies were missed (blue tape)! All issues were taken care of and in few days our newly renovated basement looked fabulous. Clean, neat,punctual,professional. Absolutely no regrets we decided to go with Smart Finishes.
