Student Works Window Cleaning

I was initially impressed with the binder and resume provided during the initial quote as well as how the student Manager presented himself but my experience went downhill from there. I had arranged an appointment time around my work schedule however the students arrived 2 hours early, washed the exterior, and left before I arrived home. My neighbour let me know they had been and gone and when I contacted the student Manager they did return. From there it felt my windows were rushed and were simply sprayed and wiped down, didn’t open the windows or wash the tracks. When I opened the windows while the students were packing their car, I realized this and they then answered “my bad” and quickly wiped out the tracks. The screens remained where I left them the night before in the driveway and would not have been cleaned if I hadn’t told them it was part of the contract to do so. I also pointed out a window still had smudges from my dog’s nose on it and they told me it was dirt between the window panes, I later inspected it more closely and it was easily removed with my own windex. Finally, the quote was made for 1 more window than cleaned due to a window air conditioner and the student Manager would only take $10 off the price claiming this had already been considered during the quote, even though the quote listed a larger number of windows. Finally, when I told the student window cleaner that the $10 should be deducted from the subtotal and result in an adjustment of the tax they refused to do so. I decided it wasn’t worth $3 to argue and at this point just wanted them out of my house.

I am so disappointed and angered. The hardware was not washed or greased as indicated and the cleaning job was sub-par. I unfortunately would not recommend this service despite wanting to support students and their eduction.
