Did a shoddy job on my decks and unprofessional sales representative
I hired this company to stain and paint my upper/lower decks in summer of 2021. However, they sent a sales representative(Kolton). He offered us some discounts and provided his personal email id to make payments, when I countered him about this he called someone from his office and said the official email id has some issue in receiving payments and he would transfer payments to the company subsequently.
Eventually, I signed the agreement for the same and the work was completed with a lot of hiccups. The sales rep(Kolton) promised that for three years the work is covered by a guarantee and it would last for atleast 10 years, however the work didn't even last one winter, all the paint job got ripped off. When contacted, the company mentioned by saying the decks are not covered under warranty and that the sales person has quit the company and not paid them the amount for the job hence they can't do anything. My question is they send people with such low integrity to face the client and if they haven't received any payments, they haven't informed the client as well, it is a very disgusting experience overall. Please AVOID THIS COMPANY if possible, see photos of their work

Hi Ravi, we are sorry that your experience with Student Works has not been a good one. If you look at the contract that you signed, it clearly states that the payment must be made to the company and where to send the e-transfer. It also states that decks are not covered and the reasons why at the back of the contract. We are sorry that we could not be of more help with you deck. - Student Works
