We own a one hundred year old semi detached home in East York. The house had been renovated several times in the past, but was in desperate need of a complete redesign. We completely gutted the entire interior, opened up the main floor and reconfigured the basement and second floor. We added a bedroom over the kitchen at the back, and converted the mud room on the front back to a porch. We also added new roofs, siding and trim.

We were immediately impressed by Simon and his team. Their ability to effectively cost out our project, provide detailed budgets and help us negotiate this
huge project cannot be understated. They were excellent at communicating and liaised with our architect and our engineer seamlessly. Simon walked us through the permit process, and was available to help troubleshoot obstacles. He and his team were always willing give my wife and I sage advice on design or layout details when asked.

They have also renovated my neighbour's house and are in talks to renovate the house of a close friend.

MacEireann reno'd almost my entire condo (minus the kitchen). Popcorn ceiling removal, new floors and baseboards, new doors and jambs and paint + a full bathroom gut and partial reconfigure. We're very happy with the results and they came in on schedule and budget. We knew exactly what we wanted going into it and that's what we got.

We used MacEireann for our kitchen / main floor renovation. Removing a wall, redoing the floor, and re-routing plumbing and electrical in our 90 year old home. From the beginning, Darren and Simon were both really easy to get along with. They understood the scope of the project, and helped us iron out small details as they came up. Their quote was clear and fair. All of their sub-contracted tradespersons were similarly friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I believe working during a pandemic introduced some delays in the timeline, but they did well all things considered. We are very happy with the result.

I got these guys from the better business bureau, after getting several quotes it was obvious they were professional and knew exactly what they were about. Detailed itemised quote in a reasonable range (not so low it was obviously unrealistic, but not excessive). We had a small but detailed project involving meticulous tiling with handmade imported Talavera tiles, of different sizes, but they made them look amazing. They also dealt with the unexpected issues you get from an old house with the minimum of fuss and expense. Very easy to work with - even when the materials I'd ordered weren't quite right (my bad guys!). They even vacuumed the hall carpet and tidied up when they left on Friday evenings so we had the house back for the weekend. Very little added on at the end (just two days extra labour because of the tiles I'd ordered).

MacEirann Contracting did a complete tear down and reno of my bathroom condo - bathtub removed, glass shower installed and entire re-modelling including tiling, paint, re-wiring and door replacement. They are a solid, reliable, creative and professional team that takes the time to listen to what the customer wants and makes it happen. Before MacEireann Contracting came onto the scene, we were in a deep hole. Literally! Our foundation for our addition was full of water (too small for a pool or skating rink) and backed up to a mound of dirt that cut off our whole back yard. City inspectors would not approve the work and we were in a financial, emotional and legal hole as well.
Once MacEireann came onto the scene, it was instant relief. Before they put a shovel in the ground, we had thoroughly discussed matters and had agreed on a detailed budget, timeline and process. After they started, we literally did not lift a finger since they built with quality, on time, and with materials they procured and brought to site. After they finished the contracted job, they fixed numerous other things in the existing house, in the same timely, quality and reasonable manner as the main job.
We were totally lost, found them through friends, and we were saved. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

The project involved converting 2 bedrooms into one. It had to be done so that the look matched the 100 year old finishes of our home.
