Barbecue Cleaning

During my clean with Canadian BBQ Boys, one of the cleaners offered to watch my injured dog while I was on a job. When I returned, they had built a literal fortress for my pup out of spare wood from my backyard. All in under an hour. Needless to say I'll be working with this team in the future.

Good job. Not great

Dirty bbq cleaned. Boys took my new wire cleaning brush. Burner tubes needed cleaning and they were to follow up with recommendation of gas technician. Never did.

BBQ Cleaning

These guys are frauds and dishonest!!! They scheduled a bbq cleaning and took my credit card number - they said to reserve the spot (which is normal practice sometimes). But on the day of the appointment - they called and cancelled, they said because their car had broken down. Meanwhile, they never called back to reschedule - and today I just got a $395.50 charge on my Visa from them! I dont recommend them - do not use this service!

BBQ Cleaning in Mississauga

Had the Canadian BBQ Boys send out a guy in Mississauga and Im thoroughly pleased. I used to clean my BBQ every summer but decided to outsource the work to a local company. I expected a brief clean of the grills but instead got a 3 hour detailing of my bbq. My grills were recovered to its original stainless steel shiny state which I didnt think was possible. Will be booking again, and recommend anyone with a dirty grill to do the same.

BBQ Cleaning - Very Disappointed

TLDR... Absolutely deplorable. If you're in the Hamilton area (or probably anywhere else in the GTA/Hamilton area) do not use these guys. They damaged the igniter on my BBQ and essentially told me I was not being truthful about it. I'll explain my experience.

(Hamilton, ON) I booked a cleaning appointment with them. Customer service was very nice, and very helpful. The cleaning team showed up on time, and within the service window they provided. They were friendly, and quick, and it appeared that they did the work as promised. I was very pleased!

However, once they left, I fired up the BBQ to make dinner and noticed that the BBQ would no longer light (it was working the night before). I checked the wires under the left BBQ shelf and noticed that one was cut, and the other was frayed almost to the point of being cut. I assumed this was just an accident, and wasn't too worried about it - I figured a company as well reviewed as this one would replace it. I was wrong.

I contacted the sales representative about it who was very nice, and she gave me an e-mail to contact someone (Cynthia) who could help me. She said "we want to make this right" and told me the manager would reach out to me to resolve the issue, and this is where it all goes bad.

The manager, I believe his name was Matt, contacted me from an "Unknown" number (so can't even call him back directly). I was still calm and happy, confident that they would do the right thing. He asked me multiple times where the issue was, and I did my best to explain. He then stated more times than I could count that "he'd have to talk to his staff because damage like this is extremely unlikely during a cleaning". I said fine, and I'd wait to hear back. Still happy, but a bit concerned.

He called me back a while later and told me that his staff told him that the igniter was not working before they started cleaning. I told him this is not true. He then told me that "in 10,000+ BBQ cleanings they'd never damaged anything like this". If you read the reviews on here you'll see that that is not true, and it told him as much. He said "from time to time some stuff does happen but in this case there's no way they broke the wires". I said "ok, then what you're telling me is that you're choosing to believe your staff over your customer?" He said (in more words than this) "yes".

His staff have every reason to cover their butts. As for me, why would I pay $200+ for the cleaning and then try to screw them over a simple igniter button and two wires? That would be the most expensive way to fix an igniter with the most runaround possible. No. It's not about the money. I can afford to, and have the ability to, fix it myself - but I shouldn't need to. They broke it, they should fix it. I'm 100% confident that there was no malice intended by their employees. Stuff happens. Maybe they didn't notice - but replacing it is the right thing to do, and it's good customer service.

He did offer to send a technician out "for free" to diagnose the issue and fix it for me. I asked if the cost of the replacement parts would be at my cost and he said yes. That's when I, admittedly, lost my cool and he hung up on me. I shouldn't have lost my cool, and I apologize for doing so, but this is unacceptable.

If someone from this company wants to come and make this right I am still open to it and willing to update my review. You have my contact information. Otherwise, I'm posting this experience everywhere I can find and will continue chasing this issue until it's made right.

BBQ Cleaning _Napolean Prestige 500

Today, I received a very unprofessional service. I should say the two young gentlemen (no judgment by age, just stating facts and what I experienced based on the type of response from these two gentlemen) who was sent to do the job were very nice people trying to get most of the little training they had with the use of regular household tools to do a professional job!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
being nice is not sufficient for satisfaction when one expects a professional job. Secondly, the company misled me by showing before and after pictures and promises on their website, when they did not deliver such services.
after first review of the job, i noticed most of the areas are not even touched. so, i had to point out. they apologized and called me after half an hour, where i see still many areas have not been cleaned. and those areas that they claimed being cleaned were still greasy. i was pulling my finger and dust and grease was coming off. their answer was " we do not have tools to clean this properly, and we can't clean corners because our tools are not getting there" this is while i could simply fit my entire fist in that area and rubbed it with 5 fingers. they apologized and mentioned they will try it again. and at the end, there is still grease all over the place. even there are locations i can see spider web still (not even touched). i got a wet cloth and cleaned many of those dirt’s and grease that came off easily.
they claimed that they wiped it down and they did not have any tools to clean some of the areas that i claimed to be greasy. well, my answer was that i did not hire you to wipe down my BBQ. i hired you to clean it professionally, in and out, and to remove all those greases build up from last summer. I could wipe it down many times myself. i would not expect my BBQ being cleaned by wiping it down so i hired professionals to do it. i asked a general household cleaning company last spring to clean my BBQ and she did a much better job than BBQ boys. i do not blame the young people who did this job. i blame lack of management, lack of quality control and lack of business responsibility. they show pictures of before and after cleaning in their website and that is absolutely misleading. the job they did had nothing to do with those pictures. i am not trying to be irrational or unreasonable. if i would hire a general cleaning co and had a BBQ with 3 years of grease built up, expecting to receive a new BBQ, then i was dreaming. i hire professional to use professional tools and techniques (in my opinion mor important than tools) to clean all grease and dirt, set aside polishing the stainless-steel surface they promised in their website, which has not been done. here are the images, you be the judge for yourself.
BTW for those BBQ Boys Rep who will try to answer by bringing excuses, if at all, I would recommend to see images first. I don’t think there is any explanation or justification that one might find it reasonable for this awful job.
