The Right Choice Moving

Dear future homeowner looking for a moving company please… I urge you.. I don’t want none of you to go through the experience I just had June 12, 2021.using right choice moving company and an alias called moving company 2002 proprietors name is HARMON and the experience that I had yesterday. I have never experienced in my entire life I am a 62-year-old retired person With a professional background experience in transportation,And unfortunately I’m not very well healthwise but I’m managing so I hired Harmen and his crew ..what a mistake. let me tell you the story.. it all started back in May when I hired a very reputable moving company that I had used in prior moving experience. no problem whatsoever I booked him for June 9, 2021 but unfortunately he called me a couple days Prior to my move and he had taken ill..he tried his best to help me out but no one he knew was available and everyone was s busy.So I had taken it upon myself to find someone fast,the first person that took my call was moving company 2002 Harmon ..He gave me a quote of $1000 for two men moving from Newmarket to a storage unit in Vaughan no problem back-and-forth of emails. He promised me he’d be here Thursday, June 10 at 8:30 the crew did not show up until after 10 o’clock actually was around more like 1030 and the crew made me sign a falsified contract and I had to give them a deposit of $500 before they even got out to start working no problem I needed the stuff moved as my closing date was Saturday, June 12 that being said the crew came with 2 young man barely 20 years old barely weighing 125 pounds each ..no problem I paid them and Most importantly I needed the stuff done, because I had to be out of my house on Saturday. Moving forward they loaded the truck it took them four hours more than what it should’ve taken a regular moving company to do but no problem They returned to Newmarket at 6 o’clock and by 715 pm one of the crew members came to me and said that the other helper left and he couldn’t work and he left because it was a death in his family.. which I totally understand and I sympathized with him,he promised me that he would be returned Return Friday morning at nine 9:30 AM..I received a text at 10:30 from Harmon saying that that he had trouble getting helpers and that the crew was on another job and he would try his best to be here at my place by 1 o’clock 2 o’clock I also got another text from Harmon saying he was still looking and he was having trouble coming up to my place..I changed my whole day schedule to be here and he did not get back to me till 8 o’clock at night to let me know that he was not able to make it and that he promised me a big promise that he would be here at 8:30 Saturday morning , as at 10 o’clock the purchasers two moving trucks would be here to unload into the new home they had just closed the deal from me.that being said 2 men. show up at 10:30 again same scenario two different people come.they would not touch any furniture until I get another additional $500 deposit couple hours later same scenario another $250 they loaded the truck and the funny thing is they were so small young men and skinny that they couldn’t lift heavy furniture..I get a phone call from harmon asking if I could help them move the heavy furniture as they were not capable of I told Harmon if I was able to lift heavy furniture wouldn’t be using his company to move my furniture in the first place nonetheless we went down to the storage unit and again before they unloaded the furniture and boxes they asked for additional $720 cash money by this point I was very furious and refused to pay..they held my furniture ransom and left the storage unit in Vaughan and I proceeded to go to the police station and the Ministry of transportation as I felt that their vehicle was unsafe and unfit for the road and I had concerns for other motors and pedestrians driving next to them..their tires were bald the truck was basically falling apart , that being said the police took a report I have a police report.. the new homeowners called me that there was a moving truck on the street in front of their new house
dumping furniture on their front lawn I rushed home and shortly there after the police came and took another report they had dumped all my furniture on the boulevard and left I am stuck now with a front curb Boulevard full of my furniture all wet because it rained all night I contacted my insurance company I contacted the police please again and the showed up I beg and reach out to anyone reading this review please do not use Harmon and I do not understand how this person and entity can operate under the laws of Ontario with no disregard for our laws that everyone has to follow especially commercial vehicles and unfit trucks that are driving on our Ontario roads.. furthermore I have never met such inexperienced businesses man in my entire life and I will pursue this to the end..I will be calling my lawyer tomorrow to pursue further actions as it cost me over $1500 to pay for the two trucks that the purchaser had full of furniture and had to put the purchasers up for the night and not to mention the damages to my walls and stairs.. that being said I have a Boulevard full of furniture all wet from the rain this evening don’t know who to call and I’m also missing boxes that they’re probably holding ransom I tried contacting him this morning Harmon and he’s got no recollection of what happened yesterday he’s denying that I paid his people money over the last two days I paid him a total of $1200 and he was looking for an additional $720 in my original quote from my mover was total eight hours for a total of $1320 door-to-door in and out.. so please I beg you please..Do not use this company and I will see this to the end as I will be contacting my lawyer first thing Monday morning to pursue further action and to sue him for all the monies that I’ve paid out and the damage being caused to my furniture that is still sitting on the curb.. as I write this review good luck in all your future moving experiences as this has been a nightmare for myself and my wife please excuse my brevity as I am very upset and stressed. I have attached some pictures. Please help stop companies like this taking advantage of helpless people thank you for reading my review.

Hello, I wanted to show my appreciation for the careful well-done job. It’s the second time I’m using your services and again very professional and solid job. the best thing about all of this moving is that you packed everything, disassembled what was needed and put it back exactly where I want it in my new condo.

AWFUL SERVICE! DEMANDED CASH OR E-TRANSFER BEFORE LEAVING LOADING ADDRESS! They YELLED at me over the phone and were RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL, AND OVERALL A DISASTER. They requested for a downpayment which is fine but would REFUSE to leave the loading address until I paid the rest of their money! They pre-charged me 3.5hours for offloading (it look less time) and had hidden fees! Their manager and their AD on KIJIJI said that it was only the hourly rate and the truck fee. But once they loaded everything on the truck, they charged additional moving fees for heavier items (fridge, piano) which they never told me about EVEN WHEN I ASKED. Also, before even hiring them, I told them all of the items I had and they recommended a truck size for me, which ended up being too small. Their manager YELLED over the phone, telling me it was all my fault for not properly informing me of the quantity of my stuff, and accused me of falsifying information to get a cheaper quote!! They DO NOT PROVIDE AN OFFICIAL RECEIPT, not even sure if this company even exists.

Like the other nightmare stories these "people" hijacked my furniture until I payed them more than double the original quote. They also damaged my furniture and damaged the walls of my old residence and the floors of my new residence. AVOID AT ALL COST.

WORST MOVERS EVER THEY ARE NOT MOVERS. ONE OF THE MOVERS WAS A SKINNY KID THAT WALKED AROUND WITH HIS PHONE AND EARPHONES IN HIS EAR. They broke my furniture and then then said we owe them more money for a heavy desk. they would not unload items until they were paid either cash or via email bank transfer. very disturbing that they are still working. you cannot find them. they have three company names and i bet they keep changing names and locations so you can't find them.

The worst company in the world. Late, break your furniture , then accuse you of breaking it . When you confront them they almost run you over with the truck. It is all about the money and getting paid before the job is complete. Funniest part was they kept refusing to move items because they were too heavy! Worst experience ever. Broke an antique hutch, refused to give you the insurance info.

Do not use this company. They loaded my office furniture on to their truck and then started demanding more money than we had agreed to. They charged an additional $100 for having to move heavy desks. That one caught me off guard. Kind of like having to pay a cabbie extra to turn the steering wheel. Isn't that part of the job? They estimated 3 hours to do the job. Took 7. Two hours was for them to travel back and forth to their location. Once again, this was only told to me after they loaded the truck. Avoid at all costs.

This is the worst company ever!! Do not waste your time with them! They are all dishonest! I sent Harman (owner of this sleezy company) a list of what I want moved and they didn't even fulfill half of it. Two kids from India showed up to my door to do the move and they took half of the money up front. I dont remember one of the guys name and I think the other guys name was Manpreet or Manvir. They packed the truck after scratching and breaking a few glass items. They made me sign a contract (in which they refused to give me a copy of) and they want to charge me tax. They told me that they are working on cash illegally and that if the tax was not paid that it would be deducted from their pay. Tax was not even discussed with Harman (who is a terrible businessman). They then asked me to pay the full balance after the truck was packed and proceeded to the delivering destination. They unloaded and put a hole in my wall. They are dishonest about damage coverage because they don't take accountability for anything. They stopped unloading the truck asking for more cash. After I yelled at them and put them in their place they unloaded the rest but then still asked for more cash. Overall, do not be fooled with this company. My legal team has been informed and a small claims law suit will be filed. Ministry of Labour has been notified of the workers. This company will be shut down!!

I moved from Toronto to Ottawa and Right Choice movers showed up on time and were extremely friendly and helpful. They wrapped my furniture and were extremely careful with all my belongings. I remained very impressed with the service.Thanks !

I booked my move last week for moving a 2 bedroom house from scarborough to Mississauga. The owner qouted me around $250 inclusive of all charges with two men and a truck. The guys packed and arranged the stuff in their truck nicely and delivered to the storage . They gave me proper service and i highly want all of u to recommend this moving company to move your stuff from one location to another.
